Don't like this........ What about all the traders who bought leaps based on the current rules? IMO, if this rule change happens then it will create even more uncertainty - as it will be difficult to determine in many cases whether or not the dividend in question is "ordinary".

Htrader, I think you will find that IB makes these decisions only when there is an IB customer on the other side of the trade and they are suppose to base their decision on Nasdaq's criteria. I'm not suggesting IB did anything wrong but if you dig a little deeper this is what you will...
