URGENT, Secure Device Required for TWS

Have you tried it -- I'm fairly sure the IB reps posted last month that you can now get them no matter what, but that if you do and are under $100K they'll "reserve" $150 in your account in case you don't return the keyfob (you can use the $150 for trading but cannot withdraw it until you return...

URGENT, Secure Device Required for TWS

He's right -- find the other posts about this on ET. The scam artists get into your account and use it to buy some penny stock they bought in their account, then your buying drives the price up and they sell it at the artificially high price, and you're left holding some penny stock POS...

URGENT, Secure Device Required for TWS

They really need to look into allowing users to block trading of penny stocks. First, I doubt many users trade them. Without penny stocks none of those scams can work -- you can't move a big cap stock for a scam. Even penny stock traders could specify in account management (protected by a...

URGENT, Secure Device Required for TWS

For starters, how about more than 2 days of notice? Next, implement several other plans to help users avoid being hacked (such as listing the last login IP address -- that shouldn't be difficult). And did I mention it would be nice to get more than 2 days of notice? Again, there will...

URGENT, Secure Device Required for TWS

Just got this email from IB: Alert 15 May 2007 URGENT, Secure Device Required for TWS Integration of the Secure Transaction Program and TWS login process is complete. Implementation for advisors will take place over the next 2 days. Starting Thursday May 17, advisors will be prompted with...

    Will IB offer mini-grains?

My TWS just adds the contract. What symbol are you using? I checked you can't subscribe to the data yet, at least I can't....... I'll add that I'm not sure the NYBOT data via ICE will have the same NYBOT pit rip-off fee. If they want to get people to trade on NYMEX instead of ICE that's...

    Will IB offer mini-grains?

Sooner than we know apparently -- they're available in TWS but not listed in the products on the main IB website. This was noted on the IB bulletin board....

Can I be a non-professional trader with a general partnership at IB?

The API will require you to allocate the trades, other than that it works just like the regular API.

Can I be a non-professional trader with a general partnership at IB?

If you open a friends and family account then open your GP account as a client account you will not be charged professional fees because the master account holder (you) is not a professional. IB stated this on ET a long time ago (you might be able to find the post) and it's definitely true...

    cbot vs ecbot

I thought that was the Iran rumors I hear that! Get run on the screen, or get robbed in the pits. Tough choice....

    cbot vs ecbot

Yeah, I assume it was a large buy order that just ran through all the stops. Whether it was a deliberate stop run I don't know, but either way it sucks... <img src="http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/1625/zowr4.png">

    cbot vs ecbot

Beware eCBOT -- today my stop on oats on ecbot was hit in a 2% up move in under a minute. Was it "real"? No....the pit moved up a little but nowhere near what ecbot did. I'm not sure if I should go back to the pits and let them run my stops or not. Damned if you do, damned if you don't....

How Long Before IB Raises Its Rates

I hope it's at least as long as it's taking them to add NYBOT on ICE.....(in other words they'll never get around to it)....

Tradestation vs. Open E Cry for Futures

Aside from the $100 a month fee....dude are you rolling in money? :p They actually waive the fee with 10 round trip futures trades per month, not a bad deal. The data fees are what kill you ....they really add up. openecry doesn't have them -- but they're not the same type of systems. I'd...

Tradestation vs. Open E Cry for Futures

openecry doesn't offer forex (other than forex currencies). openecry has almost no fees -- tradestation has fees up the wazoo. But tradestation charting is a rolls compared to openecry's Yugo.....
