    Most secure remote access software

Assuming you mean pcanywhere, try: http://www.pcanywhere.com/ :p Newer versions of VNC do have good security, plus unlike pcanywhere they're free. And you're correct, it's much slower than remote desktop. I'm curious too why you can't use remote desktop......

    Tradestation email this morning?

I got the mail too, not sure if it's legit but it probably is. I didn't get the popup on login though, maybe because I've logged in from that machine before? If you want to be sure call them at their regular number (not the number in the email) and ask them.....

    Most secure remote access software

PCAnywhere used to have the ability to use public key encryption which would be pretty secure. I'd also recommend a router in between the PC and internet connection which will do the following: 1. ignore all ping requests (most casual hackers/pimply 13 year old kids just use ping to scan...

Open E Cry's Day Trade Margins, Do they ever Change?

I want them to offer as many markets as IB, then I can move more business over...... While I'm complaining I should add that they need at least a delayed feed of the pit data. Tradestation offers that, why not oec?

Open E Cry's Day Trade Margins, Do they ever Change?

My oec story ... I placed a buy stop for minn wheat. It gapped above my stop and they didn't fill the order. I thought it was a pit delay and waited until the close, but it never filled. I contacted customer service and they agreed it should have filled and said the traders had left, I'd need...

IntercontinentalExchange wins trading rights for Russell equity indexes

Rates: http://www.openecry.com/rates/rates.cfm No inactivity fees, no volume requirements. At least so far (I've been there about two months). I did have a significant problem when their broker last week in the MGEX pit forgot to execute my trade (I figured I was just experiencing a...

Tribune Co -- what to do?

I bought Tribune as part of a dip buying system without realizing it was a takeover play. It's down ~3% from my purchase price, not a big deal, but I'm wondering if anyone knows what is going on (legal information only please! :D) and why it's trading so far below the takeover price? I don't...

    Xpresstrade...comments on them?

Follow up - they filled it this morning at the open and credited me the difference. Although this was their error I didn't think they'd make good on it ... but they did. Very impressive .... my search for a new broker is now over. You go Openecry!

    Xpresstrade...comments on them?

After openecry somehow completely forgot to execute my stop order despite the market gapping open past my stop price I'm in the market for a new broker to execute my pit trades. Can anyone comment on xpresstrade? I know they're more expensive than openecry but I'm hoping they'll actually...

    IB TWS Disconnects.

You could submit them with a good until date (GTD) say 5 minutes in the future, then re-submit them every 5 minutes. Then if you lose connectivity they'll expire quickly. You could also use a smaller timeframe, say 2 minutes.

Price change on pit trade -- the next day???

It was $30, not a big deal....but still frustrating.....the original fill was off by a factor of 10, they fixed that but still messed it up. Makes me wonder though ... obviously it was scrutinized yesterday....then a new price today....

Price change on pit trade -- the next day???

I received an email today from my pit broker informing me there was a price change on a trade from yesterday of 3 ticks (guess what .... not in my favor). Is this normal for pit trades? I can see it taking a long time to get a fill, but price changes the following day seems suspicious.....

    Outsourcing

Does it really matter anyway? The numbers they release are estimates anyway, they don't have a real idea until they get tax returns the following year, then they punch those into the random number generator to give the "true" jobs created/lost.

There are also libel laws, but that depends on where the website is set up, but making false statements about a business is not always covered by freedom of speech. But it depends on the situation of course.
