    Chrysler won't repay bailout money

8 billion is nothing, why are you worrying about that? I'm worried about the $200 billion flushed down the AIG crapper.

Stress Test Leak: BAC Needs $34 Billion In Capital

Not sure why this is a surprise, unless you were expecting them to magically find all the banks were fine.....is it the magnitude? Seems like chump change.

Stress Test Leak: BAC Needs $34 Billion In Capital

This why futures are down 100?

Can't connect to TRADESTATION's Trading Servers

Aha. Yeah that's still a problem. Wealthlab was going that way then Fidelity bought them and you have to trade with Fidelity (and no futures at Fidelity). Ninjatrader is supposed to have it all but I found it a pain in the @ss to use, although I will freely admit I didn't try too hard (I...

Can't connect to TRADESTATION's Trading Servers

Free you in what way? OEC has their own platform as well but you can't write strategies, just trade manually. Although they do also have an API.

Can't connect to TRADESTATION's Trading Servers

Just an FYI, you can use OEC's platform to execute orders directly from tradestation. It uses the email alert functionality (like many other products to send alerts from TS to OEC for execution). Note there is a 1-2 second lag (on average) due to email latency. I've used this in the past and...

Short ETFs under microscope as SEC pounces

Too funny Beau. I think you need to re-write the first sentence to read "As the best (and most modest) pair trader in the universe". Why limit yourself to this planet, maybe there are some alien pair traders out there who are good, but surely pale in comparison to you. Maybe they are down...

    Unofficial TWS bug thread

Sounds nice. How long has that bug been there -- 6 months? It's also likely it will display the avg price for your last position in the high or low of the day.....I get less and less confident in them with every build.

    Unofficial TWS bug thread

Obviously it would be better if they fixed the order freeze bug, but since you're more likely to get a bailout from the gov't than see that as a workaround you could try keeping a second instance of TWS open (using the second logon IB gives you) and use that when the first TWS freezes. Assuming...

I think this Swine Flu is for real, manufactured, and will get much worse

Wow, they really crawl out of the woodwork for swine flu. Before posting another lunatic rant, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WE BEG YOU TAKE YOUR MEDICATION. Yes, that bottle of anti-psychotic, take the whole damn thing, you need it. Really, you do.

    KC Wheat at IB?

Yeah, but this is IB, so asking about it is like yelling into an empty cave. Good luck finding someone there who actually has a clue about KC Wheat. Funny, Minn Wheat not listed at all.

    KC Wheat at IB?

Just found by accident that IB has Kansas City Hard Red Winter Wheat (symbol KE on ECBOT) available in TWS. However, there's no data available, and it's not listed on the IB website under products. Anyone know what's going on with this?

Canadian tax authorities assasinating tax cheats

    Weird error in TWS

Every time I open TWS I get the attached error. Any idea how to fix this? The text of the error is "Invalid combo definition for CL and it then lists the contract ids. Then "Contract may be expired". The only problem is I don't have that symbol on any of my pages so I assume it's hidden...

New Jersey Pension System's Unfunded Liability Increases to $34.4 Billion

Pissed off people with guns, not good :p Seriously, we should take all this stuff out of the hands of politicians and give it to professional managers. Corzine dropped his proposal to remove all state income tax deductions for property taxes. They would have stormed his office and...
