Girl win $3 million in lottery and blows it all on coke & clothes

On the bright side she's still young, so she has plenty of time to win the lottery again. :D

    UNG

Sorry, just saw your post. By now of course you know - yes, that's the mini. Still packs quite a punch at $2500 per 1.00 price move.

1/4% Tax on all stock trades pushed in NY Times today

Even more importantly, no Ameritrade, Etrade, Scottrade, or IB existing any longer -- long-time cnbc sponsors. Schwab and Fidelity would likely take huge hits as well, though their sponsorship would probably remain.

Immediate Action Useful: Talk to Erin Burnett

CNBC is insane to let Erin Burnett (or anyone else they let come on) sit there and say what a great thing this tax would be. The tax would absolutely KILL a good chunk of their sponsors - Ameritrade, ETrade, Scottrade, IB... And what traders would there be left to watch Fast Money, Cramer, etc?

    UNG

I got spanked last year trying to do the "seasonal play" on nat gas using UNG. This year (or whenever) my goal is to wait until NG hits the bottom of the channel, or low 2.00's at least, to start building a position in QG for a long term hold. May take awhile to pan out, but certainly will not...

Not to speak for LC, but one reason I can think of is that's 50pts off the top of this rally (5% correction). However, I also see a couple of MA's above that are starting to get lonely, which could draw us up first ... or second. :)

Looking for 5-10 min mean reversion trades

Not sure what you mean by "5-10 minute", but in my view it's hard enought to make money without putting a time constraint on things, so you may want to reconsider that. Otherwise, I'd say pick a moving average, then look at every chart for the past year or two, and for each day write down...

AFL-CIO, Dems push new Wall Street tax

In the last 10 years, what could have been more speculative than buying and holding? Maybe there should be an extra tax for every day/week/month/year an investment is held.

    NoDoji's Day Trading Log

I think these are good observations to make, but I agree with bighog that it's probably best to wait for the initial reaction and take it from there. To me this summer's news reactions and really trading in general, at least for the first hour, has been much more directional than normal - making...

    NoDoji's Day Trading Log

Hey NoD ... IMHO 1 pt. or even 6 ticks is always too tight a stop for ES - especially when we get back to normal volume trading in the fall, when we likely won't see so many of these clean breaks and 10-pt runs off the open. You can use a tighter stop if you fade a breakout at the extreme...

Professional Trader - Ask your questions here for the next few days...

This may fall into the "too personal" category (if so I apologize), but do you allocate any of your capital to traditional long term investments, i.e. bonds, mutual funds, CD's, etc. ? (just wondering 'yes' or 'no' ... not specifics). Thanks.
