    SPX Credit Spread Trader

Good point, u gotta mix it up. Did many, maybe too many over the past 30 days. Got 18 positions expiring by Friday with only 2 of them being credits. Did a Calender on the APR/MAY SPX 1310 Calls. Monitoring it, but not stressed like I would be if it was a credit spread.

Interesting comments re debit vs credit spreads. For the last 60 days most of my trades have been long calenders, when previously most of my trades were credit spreads. Funny thing is I've noticed the stress levels dealing with the calenders is far less than the credit spreads. Maybe it's...

Pekelo, I don't mean to hijack ZZZZZZZZZZ's thread, but I would be interested in seeing another chart like the one you posted. Maybe a different day or stock/index.

Here's a thought, YHOO at 31.30 is right near the midpoint between the 30 and 32.50 strikes. Why not bracket the stock by buying the 30 put and 32.50 call calendars? Should be able to get them both done for $.80. That way you can take advantage of the high vols on the short strikes without...

Has anyone had experience with Chartbenders Real-Time IV Top 20 scans? I saw a mention of it on one for the Yahoo forums. I look for front month credits that pay for at least half of the long month's cost w/<30 days to exp of the front month. Their calendar scans look interesting as a...

Not a dumb question. Better to ask and use a virtual account than not ask and pay tuition to the market. I either close a spread if it's ATM or ITM a few days before exp, or let the short option expire and then sell the long option. I'm trying to keep it simple for now until I get more...

OK Guys... Is it me or is anyone else having this problem? Haven't gotten an email from ET in over 48 hours. I'm guessing somehow I am unsubscribed from my threads. My email is working fine, just no ET threads. Wonder what I did to get booted...
