I gather volume stats on ES Futures and SPX cash every ten minutes from the open for 20 days... (its always a running forward sum) So once i have done that i then take the 20 days worth of data and run them thru a Query to find out for <b>EACH</b> 10 minute period in the day what is Normal...

I combine the Up Down volume in a spread: UpVol - DownVol = VolDiff for SP500 stocks using Excel and Sierra Charts... This way It updates every 2 seconds about 3 times as fast as the NYSE Vol stuff which is updating about every six seconds i think... <b>For the VIX</b>... does that move...
