There are many QT long time user who are now using this patch. The patch has solved your backfill quote problem so open the QT program and see. I have used this and two previous patches during the past year to keep my QT program going and the patches have all worked.

While I think that is speculation, I am sure it will take someone not under a non-compete contract to write/own a new program that will meet the needs of current QT users as well as future users that subscribe to the new program. We can hope for a solution in the future.

Open an account with TDA and/or IB to receive cheap/free data. Works best to have an account with both firms. I use both TDA and IB. IB works well for futures data.

Was the QT patch not a patch? I have the older patch qtfix.zip 3870 KB installed and I have the same backfill problem. I noticed a different patch file number for download, qtfix 12-2011.zip 3987 KB, but I do not know what the differences in the new and old patches are.
