The 7 Deadly Sins of Trading

I'll take that as the slap on the wrist that maybe I deserve....:( I'll accept that at first glance the statement may seem very obvious and trite, however, having identified what the problems are, in order to find the solutions it is necessary to establish what causes these problems to...

The 7 Deadly Sins of Trading

Many of these amount to lack of discipline and system, although even with discipline it's still possible to be suckered out of the big moves and suckered into trading things the wrong way... Natalie

Creating new software - Advice needed.

Thanks for the link. Yes, already seen that. I decided it was quicker and easier (not to mention much cheaper) to design bespoke software than to figure out how to get the most out of that. Impressive though... Anyway, if my friend and I come up with something we want to be able to do...

Creating new software - Advice needed.

I'm already writing for a fast multi-processor machine anyway. Not that difficult to design the architecture to take advantage of those capabilities so it's not really a case of optimisation. Natalie

DOW bull flag - on to 9500?

These swings have been going on for ages, and I've been taking a very simple line with them. If it's gone up a lot, buy a couple of very out of the money puts, write off the premium as a loss and then forget about it. Opposite for if it has gone down a lot. date them beyond the current month and...

    selfesteem

There is a very big difference between self esteem and Ego. All to often confused with good self esteem being replaced or compensated for by Ego. Especially dangerous in our business... Natalie
