    Oct. 15 - Grains anyone?

Grains are extremely oversold; it cannot be that there was a sudden drastic change in the food demand/supply situation. As equity markets rally, grains and energy markets will turn around. Not too keen in beans but Corn and Wheat may have bottomed or in the process of doing so now.

If today's action represents a succesful retest of last Friday's low then we could go all the way to 1100 by end of October. But, I doubt it. I am afraid it will be rough going for a while, back and forth, for a few weeks. Markets may make a new low. October is the worst month - there are...

Wait, does "tape reading" mean watching TaS? Or looking at price charts?

Excellent. If one can identify the outperforming sector(s) early then trade liquid big cap stocks in that sector. Today, the tech sector recovered very quickly after the decline and zoomed ahead. Thus, GOOG, MSFT, YAHOO, INTC outperformed; XLF lagged badly as did most financials. What are...

A second bite at the cherry

I would consider NOV calls on XLF below 14; C below 13; JPM below 34; BAC below 19; QQQQ below 27, and possibly INCT below 13.5 Nov option period is a longer one - Nov 1st is a Saturday, the first Friday is on 6th. These options will be held for about one week only, trying to sell them back...

My friend, JAPAN is country with homogeneous aging population, a closed nation similiar to most Far East countries. They do not have the energy, verve, innovation and free spirit like America. And, ulitmately, their destinies are firnly entwined with that of the US. This is the case for all...

THAT war was won. Two decades ago. America is the only superpower. Period. I love Georgia but that was a silly and dangerous venture into South Ossieta. I am confident that America will once again recover from this latest debacle and become even stronger. Stupid Paulson and Bernanke...
