I was short 2x YM pre market monday. I set my stop at 8593, and got filled 2 contracts filled at 8606. Now what gets me is that 2 contracts were both filled at 8606, a full 13 ticks north of my stop. I could understand if one contracted was filled at 8595 and another 8596 in a fast moving...

Anybody who was the least bit surprised by friday's close hasn't been trading long enough. Volume spikes up on the open and close, and they are often both very unpredictable. I have a feeling nobody here would be complaining if the DOW dropped 100 pts in the last 5 minutes as it has before...

A lot of market action is rigged. Not 100%, or every tick by any means. But many of the moves on stocks, futures contracts, and currency crosses throughout the day are rigged. Just gotta learn to trade around it I guess.

As we all know technical analysis is always lags, and must be taken with a grain of salt. But check out the very bearish formation of a triple top, each with lower highs. Where are we headed? Down, in my estimation 850 S&P target within a short period of time.
