Well there was this one instance where he did not hide the position column. At that time he was long 4 contracts and he had some realized profits too. I do not think he is trading on a simulator. I am with IB and their simulator has a big SIMULATED TRADING on the screen. It is hard to miss.

s&p just made intermediate term top @ 1326.7

Thorn: Do you still think that SP will not close above 1280-90 in August? I think that the SP might go down to 1260, but not lower than that in the next few months. The market looks like it is ready for another move up from here.

Since I have a full-time job during the day, I won't be able to post anything during the day. But I will update after the market closes.

    Eminitrader's Breakout Journal

Here is another example. This set-up occurs maybe twice a week. I have noticed that the profits have been anywhere from 6-12 points per trade. The initial stop loss could be anywhere from 6-10 pts. too, but that is the worst case scenario because if in the next 5-10 mins. another market...

Here is an example from 7/24. At 1, SP and Nasdaq opened higher. At 2, the pullback was above the Open. At 3, SP makes a new high. Enter at market. At 4, Exit.

    Eminitrader's Breakout Journal

This is my another attempt to keep track of my trading. It is an upside break-out method. Here are the rules. 1) The cash market needs to open higher than yesterday's close and move higher from the open. 2) I'll wait for a pullback before 10.20 EST. The pullback cannot be below the open...

    Charting Services

Are there any intra-day charting services that allows me to compare two stocks or indexes on one chart. I am looking for the % change between the two stocks. Yahoo Finance lets you compare a stock to an index but I cannot go back and choose a particular day.

    Black Monday

This is my post from 5/13. Last Friday we saw the weeklies close below 1240. The buyers need to come in fast and come in strong here . Tomorrow will probably be a trend day not sure about the direction though. If it is becomes a strong down day, we'll see the crash. At 9.45 EST if it is above...

Does the N. Korean missle test affect the Markets tommorow?

Although it sounds weird, this is exactly the kind of catalyst that the market needs to move higher. Looking at the spoos right now we're likely to open lower and trade lower early tomorrow, but I think there will be a lunch-time reversal that will take us higher. If we are at or near the...

The three things that effect liquidity are money supply, interest rates and bank's reserve ratio. Money supply, Interest rates and bank's reserve ratios are determined by the central banks. [/B] you brought up the BOJ tightening, I think we will see more upside as they tighten: people...

It's not the brokers that provide liquidity. It's the Central Banks. Once BOJ starts tightening, we'll see more sell-offs.

    Black Monday

This is my post from 5/17. I am looking to buy tomorrow at the open. We might see 1300 before seeing any major sell-off. The bounce to 1300 will provide the perfect set-up for a crash.

Report: Markets 'Are Like 1987 Crash'

I think we need to look at the bond market too before we start talking about a crash. In 1987, the bond market peaked about 9 months before the crash. In 2005-2006, it peaked in early Sept. I do not think we will see the market crash before June. 1240 will be the last support for S&P. If the S&P...
