Looking for a broker to replace IB, any suggestions?

I think you are just like me using IB Hong Kong service which has no protection from SIPC at all.

The Bid Ask spread of UVXY is much smaller than VIX future so day-trade UVXY instead of VIX future?

buying etf doesn't have unlimited risk, but short future/etf does, that is a big different.

IB surprise email: UCO short had been forced to bought-in!

The contango and 2x part of 2X vix etf both have serious decay effect. Of course when vix suddenly raises a lot, backwardation and 2x part can let it raise much faster than just 2x.

The Bid Ask spread of UVXY is much smaller than VIX future so day-trade UVXY instead of VIX future?

How do you control the short VIX future potential risk over nights? If something like 9/11 happens in weekend then there is nothing you can do about it and VIX future can raise like 300%, 500% or even more.

Short svxy for weeks? 10% annual interest is very expensive

What is the cost for day trade etf with IB?

The 2x vix etf borrow interest rate is 3% to 10% annually in IB, so I dont need to pay any interest rate if I buy/short multiple times and close out before trading hour end with IB?

The Bid Ask spread of UVXY is much smaller than VIX future so day-trade UVXY instead of VIX future?

If i use all the money in my IB account to day trade multiple times a day, does IB consider I borrow money with margin after the first trade in a day?

The Bid Ask spread of UVXY is much smaller than VIX future so day-trade UVXY instead of VIX future?

$50 per trade doesnt make sense for day trade or swing trade. One vix future contract just worth around 10,000, $50 is 0.5%.

What is the cost for day trade etf with IB?

I have 2 concerns: 1. If I buy and sell multiple days a day, what does the cost count? Would there be margin involved even I don't trade more than the money I have in my account since it would be before T+2? 2. If I short an etf multiple time a day, how does the cost count? Thanks for your...

The Bid Ask spread of UVXY is much smaller than VIX future so day-trade UVXY instead of VIX future?

Well I am talking about day-trade so the buy-ask spread cost means a lot. Your explanation doesn't relate to buy-ask spread.

The Bid Ask spread of UVXY is much smaller than VIX future so day-trade UVXY instead of VIX future?

I did some simple math: Market is opened now and the VIX future bid ask spread is 0.05 (please let me know if 0.05 is not a normal spread value) 5 * $10 = $50 spread and the vix future is worth around 11.4 * 100 * $10 = $11400 Current price of UVXY is $19.66, spread is $0.01 $19.66*600=$11796...

IB surprise email: UCO short had been forced to bought-in!

I have checked my IB account and my UCO had been bought in yesterday with little bit lower than UCO closing price. There is no shortable UCO in IB at this moment, I can understand this situation.

Is that T+3 for shorting stock? I read something like that.
