    Goog 1000!!!

Google was a "solid" play in 2007 too. And yet it went from $740 to $260 in a matter of months, a dizzying 65% drawdown. There is no such thing as a "solid" play, trading is only a game of probability.

    Goog 1000!!!

Come on folks, even NASA cannot predict the weather beyond 3 or 4 days with much accuracy but you guys are trying to predict where the price of Google is going to be in ... 3 years, more than a thousand days from today ?!?! No wonder why most traders fail...

    Goog 1000!!!

If that's the case that means traders holding Google stocks will make a whopping 15%... in 3 years. Surely their money could be better used elsewhere.

Forex is a Business not job.

I agree, Forex is a business, but if you spend 14 hours daily watching the charts then it becomes a full time job. Ironically, most people turn to trading because they do not want to work a 9 to 5 job anymore, but only to discover that now they need to "work" even longer (and stressful) hours.

+70 pips on the USD/JPY trade, closing half of the last half of my open position and letting the rest run until the trend breaks. Let's see now... :)

Please go back to bed, you are losing your credibility by the minute. Too bad, I truly thought we could exchange and share some trading ideas.

What predictions? You were correct on that one, I just lost 25 pips on that trade. Oh well, you cannot beat them all. My dear fellow trader, obviously you still have a lot to learn. Yes I am a trend rider, but on the smaller time frames (15 or 10 min usually), I aim for 20 or 50 pips...

Just bought the AUD/CAD (at 0.9825), that's the only currency pair showing on my "radar" right now, the other pairs are just sending conflicting and weak signals. Funny how you always post your pictures ("easy" winning trades as you call them) after the fact, Contra. But it could be only a...

The yen jumped 30 pips (in my favor) for no reason after the FOMC minutes release and then quickly run out of steam. It still has some upside potential however. Coming up next is the all important "Australian Employment Change" report, today at 8:30 PM (New York time), so get ready for some...

Have any of you read these books?

Never heard of these books but the last one seems interesting enough: "Following the Trend: Diversified Managed Futures Trading" so I will take a look.

    how to play the Default

The only way to profit big from a huge US stock market crash is to buy deep out-of-the money put options on the S&P 500 (or Nasdaq, Dow, etc...). A lot of them, if they are not already over-valued... You can also bracket the US indexes with OCO orders in the future market, in case the...

+20 pips on that USD/JPY trade, closing half of my position and moving the stop to break-even (97.10), thank you Tokyo :) Most breakouts during the Asian session are fake, so let's see if this one is real and has staying power...

Seasonal tendency so far not playing out in gold

Hahahaha, you remember that infomercial too, Blakpacman? Jake even have 200 years of data on corn and wheat to back up his claims :D That said some of Jake Bernstein books do have some merits, especially the Complete Day Trader I and II.

Sure, let's all trade un-tested, un-proven systems as soon as possible! Let the systematic traders worry about drawdowns, average profit/loss per trade, sharpe ratio and all that geeky stuff, nothing beats trading on intuition, hunches and guts feeling. :D
