    Losing money consistently

It appears to me that YOU are living from paycheck to paycheck (assuming your trading activities are even profitable to begin with). Read and re-read your own posts, your obsession with having "enough" money to "support" oneself on a month-to-month basis makes it clear enough.

    Losing money consistently

Please copy and paste the post where I am even remotely suggesting that. Take your time, we will be waiting. I am posting live Forex calls on ET, with exact and specific entry points and stops, in real time. How many so called "experts" on ET can do that? Also note that I have...

    Losing money consistently

Let me give you a piece of advice Tiddlywinks: Never, ever start any comment or conversation (online or offline) with "You geniuses...". Why? Because you are basically saying you are talking to idiots and YOU know better.

Listen Dbphoenix, I respect you as a trader and I also respect your 9,000+ posts on ET, I really do. But you keep forgetting the most important thing as far as trading is concerned: profitable trading is not a sprint but a marathon.

Absolutely Visaria, it's just simple maths. Even a 99% winning rate will guarantee you 3 or more losing trades in a row at some point in time, in the long run.

    Losing money consistently

    No. Here are 3 losing trades in a row (W = Win, L = Loss): L L L W W W W W W W And yet the winning rate is 70%

    Losing money consistently

...or you have no idea how to answer Visaria's (right on the money) comment, perhaps?

Oh really? He told you that over a few beers, I suppose?

    Losing money consistently

Absolutely Visaria! In fact, according to Stocks and Commodities Magazine, some of the most successful traders are perfectly happy (and are making good money) with a 30% average winning rate.

    Losing money consistently

Oh I see, so if a system is losing on May or December or April (even it's only a couple of dollars) it's a losing system because the trader "did not make enough to pay for his living expenses" that particular month. Are you for real ??? :D Anyway.
  18. xelite777

    Losing money consistently

Not quite my friend. I started my thread on May 4 and it's only June 3, so the "month" is not over yet. http://elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?t=283827 Besides, I still have 3 open winning positions (140 pip profits so far and counting) that have erased more than 90% of the losses. It's not...

    Losing money consistently

Dbphoenix, there are thousands of ways to extract money from the market, so please do not make generalizations and assumptions about trading systems in general. Some systems have a 30% winning rate or less and generate a lot of consecutive losses followed by a few big winning trades. Others win...

    Losing money consistently

That's exactly what I keep telling some "people" here on ET, Visaria. But no, apparently the winning rate of a system is the most important thing to them! These so-called traders are not "impressed" (to use their own words) when a system loses 5, 6 or 7 times in a row, for them it's a losing...
