What are your thoughts? Nikkei seems to continue to sell off everytime the futures come up during their off hours. It's already seen close to a 15% correction in a few months. Time to buy?

very nice. I think being consistent like that is better than swinging huge trades with more risks. My longest winning streak was about 20 days :( then got met with a huge streak of losses.

nah, unless you're trading 9 contracts, at which point $40 is negligible, you can make money on ER2. But quite honestly, It's easy to make money on ER2 daytrading or scalping it but it's very easy to lose money on it, too. I was just looking at my P&L on ER2 and although 80% of my daytrades...

I use Interactive Brokers and use Zero Line Trader as my front end when daytrading the e-minis and ER2. Commissions are small enough you can make money from 1 tick... albeit negligible. If you bought at 707 and sold at 707.1, you still make $5.60 per contract.

what do you mean by slippage in particular? I use IB - the commissions are cheap ($2.2 per side per contract), the spread is 1 tick about 98% of the time ( very tight ).

mightymight, you will have no trouble daytrading this at all. It's very liquid and very volatile so you can definitely make a lot of money (or lose more) with fewer contracts than with the other e-minis (my opinion).

Everyday has been choppy with this sucker the past 2 weeks. On a side note, I'm punching myself for covering too early on my short of 5 contracts at 778+

I agree, start scaling in on Silver and Gold. There's still ways to go... after a 20 year bear market, a 5 year bull market do not just peter out like that. However, caution as corrections are going to be brutal.

ER2 and the rest of the market is in a world of hurt right now. That last hour drop and AH drop was nuts.

Chart is starting to look better for gold. The overbought condition is starting to get better, and an abandoned baby / bullish hammer may form I see gold no lower than 640 and then probably start its run back up towards 750 and beyond. 1 contract for now but looking to increase holding up...

I'd wait for further confirmation of a support. This could be a support for today but I don't know how this market is gonna be the next week or so. I'd scalp it though but not swing trade this market right now. I think the bears are back but the bulls aren't done so I think we might go back...

Without STK around spamming people with his overly bullish comment, I think everyone is pretty much on the same boat. I think ER2 will make a run to 755-ish before another drop... I'm done shorting for now. I have a feeling the indices will make a quick run to its highs before a drop...
