    Fair Tax of 2005

First NASA, CIA, and diplomats are unneccessary and if you disagree try and explain their purpose that helps EVERYONE and therefore should be funded by everyone. Obviously you believe in the war on terror. I believe the war on terror is a result of our governments actions in the past. So if...

    Fair Tax of 2005

It is only impossible because it is not in the politicians best interest. The post office is a government entity that does not recieve any money from the federal government. The users pay for the services they use.

    Fair Tax of 2005

One of the biggest problems of the fairtax proposal is that everyone would recieve a monthly check ($300 I think) that would be a rebate on basic purchases. Thereby getting everyone used to government dependency. Another VERY BAD thing is that it taxes internet purchases. I belive it is...

What do you folks think of this basket?

Hello Electric, How is your PICS working out for you, it's been sometime since I last looked at it? Your first batch leaves you short CHF versus the long NZD & AUD. Is there a reason to be short the CHF versus the lower cost JPY? And if you want to be long MXN vs. short JPY all...

    Bund contra ZN.

The difference in the volatility is mostly due the different yields on the underlying cash notes...this results in higher prices on the bund/bobl. When the bund & ZN were basically the same price 03/03-07/03 the daily ranges were roughly the same.

does the money make you happy?

IMHO, it's cash flow that really matters. If your cash flow is positive enough to pay your living expenses, regardless of the level you choose, then you have no financial obstacles to being perfectly content. If you want more money because you worry about what others think of you then that...

Typing Error Causes $3.5 Billion Trade for Company valued at $93 Million

Fat finger mistakes happen but I don't see why anyone would think this needs to be regulated. It sounds like the stock in question closed up on the day. SO the firm that makes the fat finger mistakes paid a hefty "fine" in the losses they took. Others gained. Sounds like a free market to...

Vizion, I have heard of thales securities but I did not know they had trading desks. Good info, thanks. SethArb, I am planning on making a trip sometime before the end of March. I'll keep you posted. Advantages of Panama over the US? More freedom in a tropical location that has super...

    out of range trades

OK I finally found it. Definitely against the rules. 501.00 Fictitious Transactions - It shall be an offense against the Exchange to create fictitious transactions or to give an order for the purchase or sale of futures or options the execution of which would involve no change in ownership...

    out of range trades

    1. if your trading between different brokers why would the brokers compliance department even get notified of the trade? 2. If there were different names on the accounts, would that still flag the exchange regulators if the trade was on the CBOT. 3. I'm not thinking about this to save on...

Open Borders - The Final Solution

I might have gone off on a bit of a rant. Obviously if ONLY one country had open borders there would be problems from too many immigrants. What i was trying to say is that borders are only useful to politicians. Not just here but everywhere. If there were no restrictions between the US &...
