You've probably already figured out the solution to the arrow glitch, but if not, here it is. Hold down the ALT key only until you've pressed the mouse button for your 1st point of the trendline. Then draw the trendline. You shouldn't see the arrow.

I think I just figured out what's wrong. In QT you have to choose a source for quotes and a source for historic backfill. In my case both are IQ Feed. What I didn't realize is, you also have to choose a source for Indices, which I find kind of odd. You'd think a quote source would cover that...

Thanks, my str/squ doesn't look anything like your's. Using QT today, I plotted Value = @YM# - INDU.X - 45, but it just comes out looking like a 1 min chart of YM centered on zero. Back to the drawing board.
