440% Return: What should be Payout

That's true. I also prefer someone watching over me when I trade so I won't trade impulsively. :)

440% Return: What should be Payout

Well said!. Trading is all psychology. If you have a stable source of income outside of trading your can do much better than having to earn your living expenses from the market.

    about tradestation

Agree, and I just don't understand why IB can't try to provide a minimum viewable set of charts instead of the current shit. Considering the scale of their customer base and revenue they should have both the motivation and resources to do it. I think this shows something about how they value...

    about tradestation

TS is a broker in addition to a software vendor, most broker provide free realtime datafeed to customers. His compaint is well justified.

Your going to hate this brutal post

I totally agree with Gnome. Trading discipline ( or psychology of self control ) is everything. If you really have the discipline, any decent technical analysis book will provide you with enough weapons on the way to multi-millionare.

    Photontrading Room

Why don't you simply email Jeff? I communicated with him recently. I decided not to join his trading room for certain reasons but I think he is a nice person and quite straightfoward in answering questions.

    IB and trash talking...

Seems the mistake Brown made was a confirmation of buying at $7.1. Of course it's not good and especially bad to customer's psychology. But even a f* moron should be able to check whether the stock indeed openned at 7.9 and if so that's true he couldn't possibly have bought at 7.1 and he made no...

What is the difference between CBOT, ICE, CME?

Could you detail a bit on how cutting edge ICE's technology is? Seems their index products haven't become active yet.

    put call ratio

I think p/c ratio has been less and less useful. The problem with this kind of contrarian indicator is that once most people realizes it as a contrarian indicator and begin to use it, it will be ineffective instantly simply for the reason that too many people are using it.

    "Classic" IB tech support

There's no use to deny IB's service sucks.

If you read enough about Soros' life you will know his account was wiped out more than once when he was young.

Which firm to trade CME and NYMEX?

I installed the demos of both E Open Cry's OEC trader and Futurepath's PhotonTrader and compare them with TWS. After looking at the ES quotes for a while, seems OEC trader's quotes update is a bit slower than TWS, but just a bit. On the other hand PhotonTrader is much faster than both of them...

Which firm to trade CME and NYMEX?

Thanks. I have downloaded the demo to play with. I also wonder anyone knows answer to this question: Velocity Futures provides a free X-trader for higher commision. I think the commission is not too high for me. But I can only connect to one exchange at one time, while I want to trade both...

Which firm to trade CME and NYMEX?

I am mainly considering Open E Cry, Advantage Futures and Velocity Futures, seems they all have good reputation in customer service. I just got a commission table from Open E cry and seems it's low enough for me : http://www.openecry.com/rates/rates.cfm I just don't know how good their...

Which firm to trade CME and NYMEX?

I am fed up with the service of IB and want to open an account at another futures broker. I have an account value less than 10K. I try to choose one with following criterias: 1) I mainly trade ES, 6E of CME and GC, CL of NYMEX. 2) Must have good customer service, responsive and easy to...

    Charles Nenner simply unbelievable

It's a cliche. On average the monkey needs millions of years to type out Shakespear. The frenquency of correct predicts by certain 'gurus' is enough to reject the hypothesis that their prediction is random.

    Pre-Fed gambling

Yeah, I bought ER2 before the announcemet and sold it with 10 points profit. I took risks but I don't think I was gambling. Gambling at a casino you only have less than 50% chance to win, but after observing market performance in the morning session I belived there were at least 75% chance of...
