    DBFX Quotes

Ok what do you recommend then ? I used FXCM , closed my account back a few years ago after they started their tricks. IMO they are not that bad it's just I didn' trust them anymore and realized it was going to be much more difficult to make money short term and I didn't want to give back what...

    DBFX Quotes

what' DB Sec , I understand the 1 Bil is per account that 's what I think I read but it does sound wrong, how can they guarantee that amount ?

10% per month with options ?

my post was really to illustrate that some of the claims made here are just ridiculous. Again, I have never seen a FX manager making 20% per month on a consistent basis. And these guys are pro's, if you have made 20% per month understand your account size has helped and you won't be able to keep...

well DB fx is run by FXCM it appears , I wonder what it means regarding overall reliability and fair dealing practices .

10% per month with options ?

that sounds like a scam, 100% in RE in this world after all the fees, I don't believe it. As for the FX trader, I have never seen a manager averaging anywhere close to 10% a month, let alone, 20%. And certainly there is never any guarantee or it's a scam.

Interactive Brokers would not allow me to exercise

Robert, Why do you say it gives an opportunity for MM's to screw the public ? Trading stops at 4PM ET or a little thereafter, so noone can buy your options if the stock makes a move in after hours . Or am I missing something ?

10% per month with options ?

I saw a newsletter provider claiming to make 10% per month with iron condors. They say they do it years after years, occasionnaly they lose 30% in one month but go on to make 100% + per year . That doesn't look right to me , I understand the figures are calculated on the margin deposit but...

    Deutsche Bank and FXCM Connection

I thought this was back in 06-07 and they took over the whole business ! But the DBFX people are actually shown as FXCM people on the NFA site ... This doesn't make sense

    Deutsche Bank and FXCM Connection

what about customer service ? Is it the same as well, and what do you mean, underwritten by DB ? DB is the liquidity provider .

    Deutsche Bank and FXCM Connection

I read that DB FX is a venture between DB and FXCM and they are basically the same company as FXCM, that would explain what the OP experienced.

    Dbfx

Is DB FX really a bucketshop compared to say Oanda ? I like Oanda , they are honest in the world of FX dealers (refunded me once on a widening of spread) and I have had some success there, problem is funds protection. So I am looking at DB FX, better spreads than Citi , but if they are thieves...

High frequency traders literally printing money!!! LITERALLY PRINTING MONEY!!!!

ProfLogic, it's obvious you are on the defensive and adopting the truth spinning tactics of your friends. More hedge funds look at PR firms because they have come under scrutiny since the financial crisis. HFT is part of the questionable practices that have caused this increased scrutiny in the...

High frequency traders literally printing money!!! LITERALLY PRINTING MONEY!!!!

not the issue, the exchange is where info is disseminated , everyone should have equal access to the data, when it's published and not before when it's still in the pipe.

High frequency traders literally printing money!!! LITERALLY PRINTING MONEY!!!!

The very fact HFT firms have to come out here and elsewhere to try to explain that what they do is legit contradicts their defense. And the very fact thât they have lobbyists and friends in the right places by their own admittance is disgusting. Real legit traders don't need PR firms !! I...

High frequency traders literally printing money!!! LITERALLY PRINTING MONEY!!!!

I think regulators may have a case against HFT. Everyone has noticed how nowadays you can't place an order without having a better offer take precedence over yours seconds later . It doesn't take a genius to figure this might lead to exacerbated declines or rises , just what we have been...

High frequency traders literally printing money!!! LITERALLY PRINTING MONEY!!!!

Ok so does anyone have an idea of the returns these firms make ? Do they manage OP money ? No losing day in years doens't mean they make huge returns. I know of some systematic (probably HFT) FX programs that have very few losing months, their risk adjusted returns are great but it's not like...

Only way to fix EURO is take Greece out!

There is way too much negative sentiment on the Euro, classsic schadenfreude on the part of the anglo saxon world vis-a vis the European social model. Anglo saxon capitalism failed miserably in 2008. It's ironic the Euro is called the failure of the century after what amounts to a mere 25% drop...

    Oil and Oil drillers

Love it how XLE and OIH broke out just before the plunge , I was one of the suckers who bought at the end of that week. It didn't feel right though and I got out quickly . Still I am not sure why oil and these stocks plunged, doesnt' this huge spill reduce supply ? Anyway if there is one...

    Managing Accounts

Yeah what do you mean ? The platform is the same, and quotes are the same ? It seems as though they really developped their product , I looked at them last year and didn't see anything better than Oanda, now I am really impressed, funds are guaranteed, spreads are lower than Citi and similar to...

    Managing Accounts

I am also looking for an alternative to IB, platform sucks for FX and stock has been acting very poorly . Oanda is great but has no SIPC or FDIC, Citi Fx has larger spreads and no FDIC for non dollar accounts. Saxo is crooked I read, so what else is there ? What about DB FX , any govt...
