why can't i buy a butterfly spread 2DTE with wings of .30 delta and every time the trades gets closer to the wings i extend the wings to that side and close the profitable wing ? like that I'm gonna end up in the money no ?

I wouldn’t adjust right away I wait and see how the stock is playing out and not run and adjust the second it hits the break even points and then would check how the pricing is at the time and of it doesn’t make sense close the position and if it does make sense adjust as I would prefer to win a...

True but yet how can I search / scan for options that give the same return to the risk ?

i noticed that when i select some options on xyz stock its loss 300$ and the profit is 300$ 0r a little less and then sometimes on other stocks it'll be 150$ loss and max profit is 35$ is there a way to screen for stocks that can give a better risk return ratio?

i am looking to research a stock and i want to know if these specific stock has any big news coming out this coming week (I'm speaking generally ) so i look out for earnings what else can i look out for or also see if the company has any special announcements ? or its basically looking up...

I think there are 2 options or to decide at what point I close the position and it has to be during high hours of trading when the spreads are tight to avoid losses or to do a vertical which is a bet of directional bet, but maybe it’s pissible to get an technical analysis to give me the idea...

right now the net credit on the spx is 3.65*100 anyone out there can tell me how to narrow down the loss for short butterfly from 1100$ to about 500/300 $ anyone knows a trick or two?

why did you say that the brokers make only money from those spreads ?
