Some days (like today so far), it seems like everything goes to. Stocks are up, gold is up, bonds are up.
Where is the money coming from? Is it being created by the Fed through bank lending? Is the total money supply getting larger?
If the strategy can die, then it wasn't a good strategy.
I'm starting to think there is no good strategy.
So then how do I know when to place trades?
Although I do KNOW FOR A FACT that fundamentals move markets. Not TA. So maybe I should stick to FA? I'm open to suggestions, just don't want...
I read a "good" indicator combo online. The rules are...
1. Wait for price to close above middle Bollinger Band (20 ma).

Well I'm trying to back test the first indicator combo I was thinking of. I realized it wasn't possible unless I'm actively watching charts regularly. I can't do that. I have other priorities.
But that doesn't stop me from back testing, I suppose.
That's what I like about going bull on index funds. That's with the market most of the time.
How long of a downtrend do you need to see before you consider it down? Here's a chart of S&P for 2019. How many downtrends do you see that would have been possible to identify at the time they were...
I've also realized that I'm going to have to get a significant amount of money every week to make this worth my time.
If I only bet $500, then even if I'm right every time, that's only $26,000/year.
