    >Now I've read your post, and like shortnfool >said, you're really in the bigtime with your >trades, you showed shortboy. You make shortboy's >profits of $200,000 look like, well $200,000. Interesting that you keep attempting to steer this discussion towards something I have never done...

    >I may be wrong but this is what it >sounds like, is that the system is >waiting for the first order to cancel >then reentering a new order for you. You may technically be correct TraderJimR, but since this is handled ECN server side (through the transmission of a single FIX protocol...

    SuperSoes execution algorithm

Foghat, The situations that you list are simply the longest that the order will be held open without being canceled by the SuperSoes system. There is no SuperSoes time limit for user canceling as there was(is) in Selectnet. JB

    SuperSoes execution algorithm

    >The main problem with SSOES is that in too >many situations an order or a part of it >are held for 90 seconds or more and can not >be canceled vs. the ability to cancel >immediately on an ECN. Foghat, could you give me a few of those situations? Thanks JB

Stops are still lousy at IB

    >...the prices in TWS are the best ECN >prices, and that better prices at >marketmakers are not shown. Is that >a wrong assumption? No, that is a correct assumption, and my apologies since I always imagine a trader watching a LVL2 like I have. My bad. >And I'm pretty sure that .42...

    IB Customer Agreement questions

I'm sure Def will come on and answer your question better. A similar question arose on the SI thread a few days ago. This was the most recent post from that thread. http://www.siliconinvestor.com/stocktalk/msg.gsp?msgid=16272238 JB

Stops are still lousy at IB

    >I used Best ECN and got executed >at Island. >Getting filled at .39 when the best >bid does not get below .42 makes me >feel screwed (once again, my comments don't address any "late trigging", but only the fill quality of a market order) With the information you have now given...

Stops are still lousy at IB

I will attempt no defense of IB's stop order mechanism. Enough people have complained about them to convince me that they must have some problem. I am fortunate that my trading style doesn't require me to ever use them so it's a broker negative that has no effect on me. I also almost...

    August Trading Journals

During 2001 (my first year of trading), I learned how to be nicely profitable in the morning and I could hold my own or make a little during deadzone. This summer, I found that I could be barely profitable in the morning and a loser in the deadzone. It took me a bit to wise up to the fact...

    MGB: Journal

    >Turok, what do you pay for charting >with Realtick? Thanks It ain't cheap but it's fast and reliable. My backup account is with MB trading and I get my feed from them. How much I pay depends on how many trades I do with them. Lately I pay pretty much full price since IB has only gone...

    >With IB, do I still need to get a separate >charting feed? I'm not clear on that part. Depends on your style, but I would never do without my Realtick. I really can't imagine anyone attempting to trade without charts and IB doesn't provide this. JB

    MGB: Journal

MGB, glad to hear you are in the game and applying discipline. Unlike Hitman, I don't believe I could post a journal with all my trades and like you it would effect me. Look out for your self, keep applying some of the great advice that traders are throwing your way. Good trading. >I...

<Vitajex I was not "slamming" Hitman! I'm with Vitajex. If your real intent is encouragement then it can be done in an encouraging manner rather than condescending tone. "Enough already" is right. Hitman transparently posts ALL his trades, good and bad. How long would you have the balls...
