    How Much Maths in Trading?

I'll bet that a nice well rounded education including subjects such as math, grammer, spelling and punctuation will help you in any venture -- including currency trading. JB

    Cybertrader

    >Has anyone tried Tradescape? I used Tradescape for months and finally got SOOO sick of it being down, down, down, down. Lost data, lost orders, lost money. IB has been a rock in comparison (one problem in eight months scalping the naz) JB

IB lagging and stuck quotes for ES

    >Now after the market is closed they are distributing >any fills that didn't correctly go through earlier. Yes, but I'm sure they're "sorry for the inconvenience". If that is what they are doing, I'm shocked and stunned. Yeah...like I would want that short now that I can't take my...

    IB improvements

    >Does this happen often? (only been with IB for 2 weeks) Been with IB for 8 months now, and it has only happened to me once before. I was able to reach the IB help desk and was prompty serviced. I have heard several stories like yours so my experienced may or may not be typical. For...

    newbie question on stops

It could depend on the execution system that is used, the type of account (margin?) and the stock (shortable?), but by far the most likely answer to your question is "yes, your sell order would execute at $10 and you would be short the stock". Course if it then went to $5 as in your...

    Cybertrader

Used Cyber -- hated it. Hated the software, hated the speed, hated the service, hated the prices. Now on IB and only hate the service and the 5K savings a month more than make up for that (especially since I have only had one instance in 8 months now that I needed emergency help). JB

Is it me, or does IB's e-mail technical support treat everyone like an doofus?

I much prefer IB to my Etrade experiences. With the exception of Def (who is a company treasure) I prefer the service of my other broker (MB) to IB. JB

    Some "Bright" strategies...

    >Some may disagree but I don't see anything >wrong with not wanting to post detailed trading >strategies here for the world to see. Then don't start a thread on a public forum with a title which says that this is precisely what you desire to do. JB

    IB charging exchange fees

I agree on the quality of quotes this afternoon -- trades were fine, but quotes were significantly behind. It was a serious pain in the a**. For the stocks I trade, it was the first time I've had this problem (didn't experience it at earlier FOMC moments). JB

Two networks sharing one internet connection

Hmmm...I would assume that at least one of the units using the wireless cards also has an ethernet card. ??? If not, then you would need to install an ethernet card in one of them JB

Hey RTharp. Is a La Jolla office of Echo still in the works and if so, is there any time table? Thanks JB

Two networks sharing one internet connection

Yep. There was a thread about this a few months ago and there was a quite a few of us using the same Model number LinkSys (BEFSR41 V.2). I bought it, hooked it up, and forgot about it. I've got two separate ethernet networks running off mine. Good luck JB

Two networks sharing one internet connection

Do like a lot of us here and buy a $80 Linksys router. All your networks are then linked through the router along with your broadband connection. JB
