    Choose Bright or Echo?

    >Don...FYI: IB's rates are only 1 cent a share >for the first 500 shares, and 1/2 cent thereafter. >And they include ALL passthroughs. >"High-end"??? Not. That is such a great point that competitors like to brush off. I get so sick of all the additional fees at my backup brokers. At...

    IB improvements

That would be EXCELLENT -- type in the symbol and hit ENTER. Your default route would be installed and you could immediatly fire off an order. One of the current weaknesses of TWS is how long it takes to set up a line if an unexpected opportunity comes along. Nice idea. JB

AAA, I'm sure you were given correct information, but I'd sure as hell try switching anyway. You wouldn't think that on the same route using DSL or Cable would make a difference either, but it does. Good luck JB

IB stops (new question, I promise)

JPB, I have been using IB stop flavor orders extensively for the last month or so (executed at least 30 times just today). As a slowly recovering scalper I have begun using them more and more. After reading several negative discussions on this board regarding them over the last year or so I...

    >I always get the 30 second time out in the first >example mixed up with the 90 sec time out in >the latter....why they did not just use one time >out interval is beyond me. That's funny -- rules can be weird. I'll never give the system a chance to do either to me. It only takes me a...

Major News - Redi & Arca

I'm not sure your explaination for Don's problems are correct (based on my reread of his post), but I will agree with you that his problems likely have nothing to do with REDI. He said he "hit three different MMs". Now, as we know we can't target specific MMs with SuperSoes, so perhaps in...

Major News - Redi & Arca

    >If not, then all SOES orders are held in queue >until the ECNs move or a MM joins the inside at >which time SOES orders begin executing again. Absolutely correct. I only hit SS when the MMs are on the inside and the ECN's aren't. I believe (would have to check those rules again) that...
