    Securely Networking a File Server

I have not dedicated any hardware to being the file server so I can't answer the first question. Our network consists of a cable modem going into a 24 port Cisco switch. Everything hard wired; no wireless anything (not even a printer). Looks like from the responses it's unreasonable to expect...

    Securely Networking a File Server

Hello smart people: I'd like to put a file server on my network but there's no need for it to ever connect to the internet or do anything other than be accessible to people on the internal, hard wired network. I want it as secure from outside intrusion as possible. Should I go into...

Is anybody using an Antec P183 V3 case with an Asus P9X79 WS motherboard?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_form_factor I'd call Asus and Antec, ask for presales, and pose the question to them.

    Live Preview

Has anyone ever had any luck with what's called "Live Preview" with digital cameras? I'd like to see a high resolution picture (15mp or thereabouts) on a large format television. Thanks in advance.

Read up on "third party doctrine" since you're so uninformed. Any third party who has your data or information is compelled to turn that over to government without a warrant upon request. Government runs "fusion centers" where they mine data, run algorithms, and form profiles on everyone. So...

    Easy mount LCD

It's bent metal. I've always taken issue with the criminals in the industry who charge $200-$500 for bent metal. Nice to know there's now an honest person in the industry. Please let me know if you find some honestly priced floor stands for large format tv's or monitors. I need three of...

Warning: There's A Killer On The Loose!

First one to put a phone into one of these tablets gets my money. It's very simple but they obviously have selfish and malicious reasons for not doing it.

    Projector specs

My indoor screen is about 15' diagonal and my outdoor screen is the largest white painter's tarp that Home Depot sells; it's hung from teh roof when in use. Movies are awesome inside and the superbowl parties outside are incredible. He who dies with the most toys is nonetheless dead!

Need advice for new trading computer

Easy on the tirade there - it's only a discussion. Your opinion is well known by now. If you're going to criticize education, you may want to reconsider writing things like isan isiot. If you choose to shop on eBay and pay $350 for a surprise box of whatever, have at it.

Need advice for new trading computer

OP was looking at two different systems - $800 & $850 for a "trading computer". Instead of selecting one that has two pcie x16 slots you want to direct him to a $500 gpu? Feel free to talk to your own computer all you want but I'll decline the invitation. BTW - there are self help books you...
