    is facebook founder a traitor?

Unlikely that Saverin would move to Brazil, because he would need bodyguards wherever he went. His bios mention some sort of kidnapping plot. He would be very vulnerable to kidnapping anywhere in Latin America. So basically that restricts his possible domiciles to EU, Singapore, Canada. Does he...

    is facebook founder a traitor?

So Saverin never wants to live in the US for more than 90 days? Once you renounce, you can't reapply. And I don't know whether you can gain permanent residency ie a green card, but it doesn't make sense to offer permanent residency to renouncers. And what if he marries a US citizen? Could you...

anywhere to get tick by tick data on stocks

I'm not looking for terabytes of trade data, just somewhere I can go to find where a specific trade took place. I used to get this in my Firstrade account, but I don't see where to find it now. Thanks

I sense a rally in the market

I agree with this strength call. Over the last two years we've had two big runs followed by big volume pullbacks. Is the market so predictable it'll do the exact same thing a third time? Fade the fading faders.

    Imminent meltdown: NSB Advisors

Elitetrader is totally dead. There have been two posts in this forum since I posted last afternoon. I don't think they've moved elsewhere . . . maybe just fewer people are trading.

    Imminent meltdown: NSB Advisors

On top of the loss on APAGF (an Argentine oil and gas company - great business to be in, right?) there's been a rougly $100 million loss in PMFG since Dec 31. The total loss on those two positions alone is about 30% of the portfolio. I really don't understand how the SEC let this guy, who's...

    Imminent meltdown: NSB Advisors

NSB owns: PMFG: 75% of float APAGF: 70% of float GCOM: 45% GLPW: 30% Here's the problem, if that weren't bad enough - APAGF has fallen from over $80 to $35 in the last month. That's a loss of about $300 million - NSB total share holdings as of Dec 31 were $1400 million. Ouch...

Extreme Non commercial Euro short positioning shows record

This data is probably more predictive. These firms print money by taking the other side of customer trades. http://www.dailyfx.com/technical_analysis/sentiment/ As of last week (the new data is coming out today) the wrong-way traders were slightly bullish on the Euro, not really...

Long gold miners short gold bullion

My uninformed view is that gold will probably go sideways for a long time, unlike the old peak in 80. In that scenario, miners probably do well.

http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=GDX:GLD&p=W&b=5&g=0&id=p00484120643 I don't know what your chart shows, but GDX vs. GLD is certainly at a three year extreme of GDX undervaluation.

    three short candidates

Today KMP was up while KMR collapsed late in the day. Look for KMP to follow KMR tomorrow. Two high-volume dojis in a row don't bode well for KMP/R.

    three short candidates

re KMP/KMR - these are sister stocks. KMP *always* follows KMR intraday. So if you see KMR down and KMP up, KMP will follow KMR, and vice versa. I've followed this stock for a long time, this rule works almost invariably. I think the reason is that KMP has long term buyer/sellers and KMR (an...

    three short candidates

You're right, I wouldn't short KMP. Some cheap puts would give you a nice payoff if the trendline breaks.
