    Majors by year's end

Apparently, the dollar's watchwords today are "what doesn't kill me makes me stronger." Looking forward to tomorrow's FOMC statement.

    Majors by year's end

Fair question. Ivanovich's comment above (appreciated) correctly explains my reason. Last year, in the 2d qtr, before the factor gained wide coverage in the financial press, a poster in this forum schooled me (and anyone who bothered to read his posts) about the powerful dollar positive...

    Majors by year's end

Thanks for the reply. I admit limited knowledge of COT reports because I rarely consider them. I know, of course, that they have uncanny hindsight. The CFTC has recently published a request for comment on the COT reports, which includes these questions, among others: 1. What types of...

A good trading software buy/sell signals

Welcome to you and good luck. First, I assume you are not committing a large bankroll at this point, so treat the nickels and dimes you have now as millions of dollars. Because that is what they can become if you -- (1) avoid the obvious sucker mistake of risking your money on pixy dust...

    Majors by year's end

Price action since this thread started last Thursday has jump started my prediction of USD rising versus Yen and Euro. My thought then and now is (1) chance of BOJ rate hike nearly nil, (2) chance of Yuan band widening or other revalue action is lower than may be expected, and (3) chance of a...

    Majors by year's end

I foresee USD rising to 122 Yen by year's end, and Euro falling to 1.24 or so. I'd like a colloquy on the reasons why or why not these prices will obtain in the next 3 months or so. Soliciting the informed views of others.

In the year 2020, which corporation will have the highest market cap. in the world?

Toyota, after absorbing GM, and probably with a merger or major alliance with the Chinese. Japan, by that time, will be its fourth best market.

Dbfx Is Fxcm ,and They Will Rather Lie About It ..

I did not say "dbFX = FXCM because they use the same platform," but rather that the customer agreement db posts on the dbfx website allows the platform to be operated about any way db likes. That is like FXCM (and other forex retailers for that matter), which is no endorsement.

Dbfx Is Fxcm ,and They Will Rather Lie About It ..

Possible, of course, but can you be sure? Here are pieces of the dbfx customer agreement, taken from its website, with a couple of annotations: Neither Deutsche Bank nor any company maintaining, operating, owning, licensing, or providing services to Deutsche Bank in connection with, the...

You may want to carefully read the "client agreement" posted on the dbfx website. dbfx.com/about-us/client-agreement.html

I agree. Good job, good post. In forex, unlike football and war, there is one rough substitute for victory: experience.

    Crown Forex 1 pip spread

Are you freeking kiddin? Fxstreet has as many or more traps, scams, and beats as any retail forex promotional site. The fact that it dresses well doesn't mean it's less risky for the unwary. Peddlin' moonbeams and pixy dust pays pretty good I guess, especially with an audience as naive...

Learn the Truth About the REFCOFX/FXCM Relationship

Thanks for the "Hwala" banking information. Here’s a definition of it from a respected British newspaper: "‘Hwala’ banking - a system of credit exchange that has no need of telexes or scrambled data links, merely people making phone calls to trusted counterparts in other countries...

Learn the Truth About the REFCOFX/FXCM Relationship

I wondered about that, too. They must have had a double-secret credit facility lined up -- in Mumbai maybe. You know those Indians, they'll do the work others won't.

Learn the Truth About the REFCOFX/FXCM Relationship

Something else of interest. According to the first item linked by ZoneTrooper, which is a filing by FXCM in the bankruptcy case, RefcoFX paid FXCM $650,000 (six hundred & fifty thousand dollars) dollars a month to operate, after the bankruptcy filing, the make-believe "heads we win, tails you...

"reasons I choose to trade in the spot market. "

I’ve seen the above type of observation before. This question arises: Is this “truly honest” etc fx retailer like the Unicorn, i.e., totally mythical, invented, and hallucinatory (a cousin to moonbeams and pixy dust), or is it more like the White Whale, actual (in Melville’s telling)...
