    wizetrade or wizefeed?

You could use any TA method you wanted to pick stocks and have the same thing happen. That said, I wish I understood what makes the little lights go on or off. I like the concept of little lights that go on and off telling people to buy or sell. If you could make the little light go on...

Behind Foreclosures, Ruined Credit and Hopes

Those people were in trouble from the get go. They couldn't afford the payment in the first place. The only thing society can do for them is not lend them money so they don't get in trouble. Its not that they might or might not be hard working etc, but they should be the renters renting...

"Smart money" moving away from stocks

Must be inherited money. What they consider "alternative" are just illiquid black boxes full of more stocks, and they won't figure it out till it blows up.

Does anyone else here look for stocks where insiders are buying?

I just use the concept to HELP find good medium term trades. It just identifies companies where people are buying, and I figure they wouldn't be buying large qtys if they didn't figure they were going to make money. I look for ones selling at under 3x book, and preferably under 2x book at...

Why is this market selling off AH?

Maybe the government is testing the market for what would be the reaction if something really happened so they can plan things in advance. Sort of like "deja vu" in advance

Does anyone else here look for stocks where insiders are buying?

As for that other site, I don't know their system. I just look there for "opportunities"

Does anyone else here look for stocks where insiders are buying?

The link was an attempt at going to www.gsr.com and then going to Financial filings and SEC filings under investment info info. I must have screwed up copying the link somehow. http://www.gsr.com/Investment/Financial_Information/SEC_Filings/ That's a list of all the filings rather than...

15-20% interest rate in early 80's

My 1978 Dodge Magnum with all options brand new was $4300. The discount was $2000 or $3000 as I recall. I bought it on the last day of March 1979 brand new from a lot completely full of 1978's. Paid cash. People don't know that owing money is bad. It was something that people learned in...

Where does "Private Equity" get the money to do these huge buyouts?

Ok, It makes sense that they'd put debt on the company's books collateralized by the company's assets, but who's lending the money? Banks? Bond investors? Hedge funds? The big investment houses? Foreign investors? Another question. If they are borrowing the money, is it...

    Cheap stocks don't go up

If you ALWAYS lose money on these cheap stocks when you buy them, next time try shorting one when you think its cheap enough to buy, then cover when you'd normally gotten disgusted and taken the loss. Honest, I've done it. Its a good way to break a losing streak.

Where does "Private Equity" get the money to do these huge buyouts?

And when does this gravy train end? Seems to me they are providing a small amount of equity, but borrowing most of it. At some point somebody is going to want that money back plus interest. If the economy slows will they make the profit and cash flow needed to pay it? I wonder how long...

    Near the peak of capitalism?

They are depending on us to borrow more money and buy infinite more stuff from them. Some of us can even be employed selling it to each other in the process. It has nothing to do with emerging markets except it provides them with jobs producing all the things for us to buy, and lending us the...

Real Vacant Home Inventory 3.4 to 4 Million - If You Know Of A link

Yeah, same actors, slightly different clips or even the same ones, different web address. Actually, I think that's all just that one company, and what they do is sell access to you as a prospect to the companies running the scam at home jobs. What amazes me is that it continues, so that...

Does anyone else here look for stocks where insiders are buying?

There is a site I check on that tracks them. It has the ability to show buys, sells or all. http://www.j3sg.com/predefined/dailyFilings.php I agree with the comment. I use them to trigger a look at the stock, not as an automatic load the truck signal. I already own a bunch of GSS...

Does anyone else here look for stocks where insiders are buying?

Its been one of my best plays over the years. I'm not a daytraders, though. More of a 2 week to 2 yr type position trader. But I've had good luck where I've been able to get in near or below the insider buy prices, unless they have been the cheesy 1000 share type, where its a trick if you...

Tried to buy some puts today, but I'd enter a bid = to the ask, and the ask would just change. Finally gave up.

Fed can not let dollar fall

Its not a basic book at all. I was reading on it today, and its pretty much incomprehensible because there is no overall view that I noticed, just page after page of footnoted detail. Find a better book. Try searching Amazon for Economics and hunt a round seeing what books are liked by...

15-20% interest rate in early 80's

They didn't. You had to "assume" the seller's mortgage or they had to sell it to you "on contract". You couldn't sell for any reasonable price if you couldn't do either of those somehow. I had a friend who was stuck with a house for 2 yrs after he moved out of the area. It was tough times...
