    Proposed NFA Capital Requirement

Hopefully after the bottom feeders are flushed they'll address the tricks that the big, sleazy and well capitalized bucket shops use. "Forex brokerage FXCM has been the most vocal supporter of the rule, although they have received support from some other big firms." Currency Mag 8/07

    Proposed NFA Capital Requirement

Exactly. I can't believe anyone actually trades with those tiny IBs that are in jeopardy but to each their own. BTW, my post goes to illustrate just how vocal they are ... as in most of posts in this thread.

    internet activity monitoring and surveillance

Back when I had many employees and workstations I used to have all activity monitored. It was very easy. After a month I found that on average most where wasting about 2 hours per day using thier computers for personal use. One guy was about 4 hours. That's the equivilent of stealing 25% of...

Wireless Networks... How Big a Security Risk?

It depends. Any form of wireless is a foot in the door. If someone were to gain access to the wireless device your network and all devices on it could be compromised. That said, there are some thing that can help. Free software firewall -...

Wireless Networks... How Big a Security Risk?

I wasn't directing my post specifically to you so no offense. And again we agree. "Home" is relative. In a city or even suburban setting any smart kid in the neighborhood can access a "home" network. Where you are the chances are slim unless you venture into town with your laptop. BTW, I've...

Wireless Networks... How Big a Security Risk?

With the right software and a little determination every wireless connection can be hacked. Period. Granted, the more protection you provide with firewalls (hardware & software), 16+ digit alpha-numeric password, blocking id broadcast and such makes you a less likely target but the fact remains...

    InvestoFlix

Tried it a year ago. Not worth it at all. The videos are mostly taken at seminars in the 90s and some in the 80s. Poor quality and very little info. Turn around time was about 2 weeks to get new videos. If you like infomercials and have lots of patience you might like it.

    trading on a blackberry

I use a PDA smartphone and/or my UMPC when I'm away from my workstation. I log on to it via a remote service. I have alerts sent to the PDA/UMPC from my trading systems should anything of interest happen. Works fine.

It's been a dream for many years. Son is out of college and making it on his own and my wife fell in love with the idea after a succesful 2 month adventure that both we and our marriage survived. Here a pic.
