That sounds great....be sure to put a lot of money there because that's some pretty responsible risk management by the company. Seriously...a move 1/10th of the flash crash would bring the whole firm, plus your deposit, down. (please not the sarcasm)

They can do a lot of things. They can make it necessary to register with CFTC if they want to solicit US citizens, like it is now for banks and brokerage firms wishing to do business here. They can make it illegal to open an account with a foreign broker trading spot currencies, like the US...

Correct...mandating that any FX Broker that wants to do business with US citizens must register with CFTC (and thus complying with new leverage requirements) They have the authority to do that.

Why can't they?

So do they even address the issue of US traders opening accounts with non-US Forex brokers?

So will the volume in these explode if spot FX goes to 10-1?

A year later....anyone trade these?

When you have 150,000 live accounts there are going to be unhappy clients. Especially when they lose money they always blame the broker. If they are so bad, why are they the largest? 150,000 clients is pretty impressive!

Why does everyone pick on FXCM?? I have been with them a few months and love everything about them. Service is great, platform is solid, and I get great fills. I think people just repeat what they hear about FXCM without even trying them for themselves.

I have been trading with FXCM and am very happy. They used to have a bad rap but have since changed to a NDD. With FX, you want big and financially strong since there are a lot of shaddy firms out there.

You won't find any two platforms very similar to another. Each has it's own strength and weaknesses. Of course, Lightspeed and Anvil ave similar because they had the same developer. The top platforms for direct access trading are Sterling, Laser, Lightspeed, and Redi. Hope that helps.
