    Bond rally nearing an end?

Hello, What is the normal spread for the 10-year and the 30-year? How do you trade the spread. I am new to bond trading, and I am looking to expand my knowledge. So for I am doing pretty well with just technical signals, but understanding more fundamental factors could be helpful...

I had to get back in. I shorted last nite at 1.2038. I brought my stop down to at least break even. Trade seems to be going well. I do not think support will hold and we will eventually go lower.

I am currently short at 1.2117. According to my analysis this might be the best opportunity to get short before we see 1.1950 and lower. Happy trading everyone. If I am wrong, I guess that is what they make stops for. Regards Steve

Here is the daily continuous ES chart. I have MACD and RSI marked up and the EMA is the 22 day. This is he chart as of yesterday's close. For some reason Metastock EOD did not update ES for tonight.

I am short from 1286. I expect lower prices ending this week. My stop is at 1296.00 That should be enough price movement to prove I am wrong. Good luck

where are you short from buysell?

    The EURO

Yes I did that is why I am so confused. Weekly looks bullish and daily is bearish with divergences. I like my signals to be together. I guess there is nothing wrong with wait and see mode. Well off to work. Regards, Steve

In addition the right shoulder can be higher or lower than the left, and the neckline can be have a slight postive or negative slope. Regards, Steve

Left shoulder is dec 2003 on the EC and the head is Dec 2004 and the right should is just about completed on the weekly charts. Usually you can expect the drop from a H&S to be equal to the distance from the neckline to the top of the head. Here is the picture

I do not see a H&S. Look at the weekly EC (euro) and you will see a huge H&S. Still not short on the ES. Just bideing my time. Regards, Steve

Currently, we are still in an uptrend on the S&P. The weekly chart actually shows a pretty nice uptrend. The daily charts shows that the bulls are losing steam fast and diveregences are occuring in MACD, and RSI. I plan to go short soon. I just hate to fight the trend:) Regards, Steve

    Bond rally nearing an end?

Can anyone explain fundamentaly why bonds rallied at the end of the day today?. I know that this rate hike was built into the market, but the fed indicated another hike in the next few meetings. Regards, Steve

    Bond rally nearing an end?

I am glad I am a short bias; however a few painful lesson have taught me that bias means nothing. The market does not care what your bias is. It will just take your money either way. Regards, Steve

Energytraderus, I was refering to Buy1Sell2 comments. He uses the MACD indicator, so I was just going over some analysis with him over the message boards. You seem to have a problem with our discussion. Good luck with teaching your nine year old son how to trade. I am sure he will learn...

    Bond rally nearing an end?

Bonds do look very beaten down after the last few days. I was short 2 10-year bonds from 109250 and covered today one contract at 108140. I lowered my stop on the last contract to 108250. I am just not sure what will happen tommorrow so I decided to play it safe. Regards, Steve
