    suggestion to this elitetrader

I do not want to be impolite. IMO, elitetrader forum does not discuss specific stocks or even whole market direction on any regular basis. ET is more focus on exploring eternal truth in trading and financial business. You may want to go to plenty of other forums including yahoo and...

    Stock Watch Pro

It really depends on programs and cases. When only low end of memory is used, everything seems alright. When faulty areas are used by programs in certain cases, there will be problems. I had experienced it once. So I just pointed out this is a possibility this time. :p

    Trader's Union

Thanks. How about work out a group insurance policy with several dynamically adjusted brackets. If you are top profitable trader, you pay the least premium in the time frame. If you are top loser, you pay the most expensive premium until you improve. Like drivers insurance, you pay more after...

    Spyware debugging

Trust noware. Keep your system/software configuration simple. Use a firewall and monitor all connections and processes. Use different boxes for different tasks. Spyware debugging

scottrader quote is such a nasty program. it eats more than 80% CPU all the time. Use firewall products to monitor secret inbound and outbound network connection. Spell and get yourself familiar with all the processes running on your machine in Taskman(Windows), ps/top(Unix/Linux). :p

    Trader's Union

While I agree with your comments on rate, I have to point out that commission is not the only problem. Neither strike is the only solution that an union offers. :p
  17. Q

    Trader's Union

Look, unions members are reasonable guys. Some of crocked leaders may not. So an ideal union let all members to vote on if to strike. You are right, why not strike on high commission rate imposed on hard working traders who trade a scale of profit as much as commissions. :p

    Profits, religion and politics

Good or bad luck will have no difference on religious or nonreligious men and women. :p
  20. Q

why no extended-hour session for stock options?

because options exchanges and special interest groups are lazy bastards. they only want to get easy low risk money without hard work. they make rules to make market maker lives easier. they added cancellation fee. they don't care about liquidity and high volatility. they use PDT rules to screw...
