Does the country have to be shutdown? Canadian stats, USA might be the same

I feel like it’s a science experiment. Canada everything is pretty much shut down. Essentials are running including supply chain, etc. Some provinces have ramped up and shut down construction and many more non essential services. Seen Halifax gave a woman a fine and towed her car for going to a...

Zero commission stock trading outside US

TD was.005 at best. Not very often but often enough. I always knew if I got that improvement theirs definerly a better deal elsewhere. However I’m confused as to how IB can be so much better unless most their fills are hitting dark pools. Questrade I’ve never seen a trade reported off any...

Zero commission stock trading outside US

No idea. I’ve seen many lack certain order types so that’s another trade off. MOC orders have a fee associated which these zero commission brokers can’t offset by directing orders elsewhere. Think I’ve seen some still offer but with a commission, think TD? First issue is most these brokers are...

Zero commission stock trading outside US

I really don’t know where this “they sell my order flow so I get worse fills”. The NBBO is the NBBO. They have to seek that liquidity or a firm can jump that queue and fill at a slightly better price to jump ahead of NBBO. One issue could be them sending limit orders to venues that offer...

    Italy Numbers

Think the big number to watch is hospitalization rates. Many people die every year in their homes. If you start flooding hospitals like this virus is doing, it’s not sustainable for any countries healthcare system as is. Survival rate is pretty good it seems if you get a bed and a ventilator...

Multi Broker software which offers non-professional data fees?

I feel like if I was trading futures, IB be my last choice, unless your trading stocks and forex as well. Seems like world of futures has a lot of options for introducing brokers and trading tools options.

    Costco to Hoarders: Keep It

Their was a guy in Vancouver who bought something like 100k of stuff. Rented trucks and just bought pallets of stuff. Was making a killing on Amazon until they shut him down. Stuck with the inventory now lol . I would think a manager would step in and say no you can’t have our whole inventory.

Moral choices of the government (poll)

Whatever their doing, do the opposite. Looking at numbers, U.S should be number 1 confirmed cases by end of night.

Moral choices of the government (poll)

You could honestly tell a friend that his parents and grandparents life are worth the economy trucking along as normal, or maybe a friend with asthma that their life is worth it? know my sister is immune compromised due to some MS experimental treatments right now. That’s a tough choice.

Insider trading by esteemed member of congress

I guess they didn’t really profit? It’s shady. If they reversed their positions to be short there be no argument. I always felt like Trump was already doing that. Feel like he’s asking his buddies to “hold my beer while I send this tweet”, while stock market rallies 3% overnight.

Insider trading by esteemed member of congress

Interesting topic. Haven’t really read the laws(Canadian anyway) but I always thought insider trading was based off having non public info on a company. If your a senator with private information on government action plan, what’s the law? Covid-19 is public info, we all knew about it...

Trump to send direct cash payments to Americans in the next two weeks

Seen some production numbers from China recently, wasnt pretty for China over 3 months. Don’t think we’d come close to doing what China pulled off. We can’t build 1400 bed temporary hospitals in a week, and doubt we’ll see states and cities being locked down.
