Exactly it is if relatively speaking it goes back to 2% down the line. Doesn't mean anything gets cheaper.

A set of defined rules for entry, exit, risk and money management that you adhere to. If you don't have this then you don't have a strategy and you shouldn't be trading live. You're working on luck.

As always capital preservation is key and priority one for me. If that means sitting on my hands more than normal in these markets then so be it.

One of the hardest things about forming a personal strategy to be honest. Having to use a somewhat shotgun approach to learning and take as much in as you can and then cut through the noise for what works for you and then focus on that.

Equal highs (one shown as the high with the red line and another equal off screen) would have shown that these were a target to break through which price did. With HL forming on the approach too there was little to suggest a short was the right call here I'm afraid.

For position trading I'd start off looking at monthly levels and then refine down to daily or 4h for entry.

Also back up your MetaMask with a hardware wallet. Keep your private key safe!
