Jerry York, dead at 71, for real

That's usually a sign of someone who plays classical guitar. Long nails on the picking hand and short on the fretboard.

    Strong stocks

NEP looks ripe for a nice run. Check out the size of the triangle formation. Using $9.00 as the apex, the projected target is around $12.75 - $13.00.

    Living the Dream Journal

I know what you're going through. I'm still trying to build up a stake to trade again. You need to know that if you're not patient and waiting for the best setups, you will be busted soon enough. You may have days where you don't take any trades and it's tough sitting through 6.5 hours...

    Any alternative to Prophet.net charts?

What a total drag. I've always liked prophet.net java charts better than stockcharts.com. Been using it a loooong time and hate to see it go.

    Any alternative to Prophet.net charts?

I have it up right now. Been using it since at least 2000. Looks fine to me.

    It's 2012: Obama vs. Cheney

I don't like him for a myriad of reasons, but probably the best man in the running for the job would be Mitt Romney, purely for economic purposes.

He looks like he's eating pretty well though. :D I haven't watched him in a long while, but back when I used to, he did make some consistent directional calls.

People signing petitions to increase inflation 100% for next 5 years.

It's been obvious to me that Americans in general are financially illiterate. The public school system certainly doesn't teach the kids about economics, banking and finance. I've learned what I know through college coursework and mostly books and articles I've read on my own.

Remember the guy that couldnt sell 1oz of gold for 50 bucks? He's back.

Obviously, the worth is situational. If there's a nuclear holocaust and the basics are in short supply, then the basics will carry more value. If on the other hand, people are still trading for their goods, while the fiat's have collapsed, (every single one has), gold and silver are an easy...

Remember the guy that couldnt sell 1oz of gold for 50 bucks? He's back.

Gold bullion is the byproduct of work done. Is it still not worth anything?

Jim Rogers: "Inflation is 6-7% in the US"

Those who live in the real world and not mom's basement know that food is much higher, medical expenses and prescriptions are ridiculous. Fuel used to be in the $1.50/gal neighborhood. Secondly, with the recession, why haven't these prices deflated? Could it be that inflation is holding...

CNBC Poll: Should the Fed be Abolished?

I'm sincerely impressed. Given that, you should then know how many fiat currencies have failed. On another note, can you tell us why after their formation and given their mandate, when gold was pouring into the country, did the Great Depression occur? These guys are bankers who do not...

    End The Fed?..And then what

Your point regarding Congress is well taken, but this is what the Constitution calls for. We need to elect financially literate people to Washington and the current situation may be catalyst for that to occur. However, you ask how I know the bumps would be less severe. Because they were...

I would like to see your work. I one of the sick people who enjoys economic history and theories.

    End The Fed?..And then what

As you likely know, the Fed came about in 1913 mandated with stable economy, full employment, etc., etc. Yet in 1929 you know what happened. You know what's happening now. There was a time we had no central banking and there were still economic imbalances that rectified themselves, but the...

    IMF to Dump Gold!

This should be an interesting view into global psychology. I would not be surprised to see this supply get snapped up fast as desperate parties seek to get out of dollars. In which case, the presumptuous assumption of goldbug doom will be proven wrong.

Maybe Asus subscribes to pit noise. I've listened to it before and it adds a whole other dimension to trading. Old guy with harsh cigarette voice barkin' out the trades like a horse race...it's pretty cool. http://www.tradersaudio.com/aboutus.html
