Yes, you can get a real time version of AmiBroker, but you need to get real time data from others, like eSignal. Once you have the data base updated, you can run your scan any time.

AmiBroker works best for me. I am using it with eSignal. You can program any system and then optimize it and back test. Once you happy with the results, you can scan your data base for securities that meet your set-up. Customer service with this guy is the best and the cost is unreal. What else...

Execution reliability is the most important feature for REAL traders. All others need the bells and whistles to play with. Every time IB added new "bells" it caused troubles. My suggestion for the next TWS (after 854) is version 754. No, this is not typo, version 754 is the best. LOL

Thats quite surprise to me. I placed short order after hours. TWS show green light, but it has never been executed. This was market order and price moving up and down. Called IB support and they explained that no short sells allowed after hours. ??????????

I had this problem. You need to disable all Pop-up blockers in your computer. In Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Pop-up blocker. Also if you have Google tool bar it has blocker as well.

I agree with the above. IB made significant improvements. We like it because it is great and stable trading tool. However, many times changes caused unnecessary problems. It would be nice that TWS will also make coffee in the morning. However, thats why they have invented coffee maker...
