Sorry if this is an obvious question but GOOG for example wasn't halted today while IBM was. Is there any particular reason why certain stocks are halted while others aren't?

So does that mean book value per share should theoretically be a price floor? I've always wondered about this too as P/E is meaningless with companies that are losing money.

IMO, futures don't really matter. We were up over 1% on the futures yesterday but look where we ended up today.

Today almost felt like capitulation for me. We saw extremely high volume, which could be a sign of a blowoff bottom. Despite what people seem to believe, WM is not going bankrupt anytime soon. If they DO go bankrupt, the problems they cause for the financial system won't be good news for any of us.
