Yellow is moving average, green is resistance/highs, red is lows/support??? The chart made several attempts to break out of that range. I say it will go down.

I don't quite like it, but don't have any complaints either as I never used other platforms and can't compare. It does take up a lot of system memory though. I trade with velocity, and it's the only free platofmr, I guess you get what you pay for.

How do you know whether to go long or short? In other words, how do you determine when a bar is a top and when it is a bottom? There is no way to know that unless you're a clairvoyant. Do you trade on a real account or paper?

They are. I was talking about price not behaving in a linear fashion. Say a volume interval was hit, like yesterday two hours into the close. The price immediately changed course and the market closed down. But that doesn't mean that the price will continue to fall from one interval to the next.

Does anyone here have experience with Gann's methods? I read up on him but it seems that most "Gann traders" are just stabbing in the dark as he never revealed his own methods. I wonder if he ever mentioned anything about volume cycles??

Well, it's not perfect and would be foolish to go straight down until the next interval, don't you think? Fact is, it immediately changed trend and went down when the interval had been met. That doesn't meet it's gonna keep on going down. Matter of fact, if anyone here did find the interval...

Hi. Care to elaborate? How does that work? You just measure the time from a swing high/low to the next turning point? Does it work intraday? I found a "volume cycle" in the ES several days ago. It's not perfect but I can't ascribe it to coincidence either. I made a thread on it.

IMHO, EW is just as good as the trader using it. Like someone said, it is a very subjective tool, and EWers often have a difficult time agreeing which "wave" the makret is currently in. It's ultimately up to you whether you want to spend time learning a tool that you might have problem...

I think you folks are right. I'm probably going to build my own system. Going to have to find a good guide or book on doing that. I meant the Extreme i7 processor, which is I think 3.33Ghz. Overclock it to 3.7-9ghz.
