the problem with your question is that you are assuming that: 1. after you get into the trade the price will move in your favor 2. even if it does, that you will get a good fill on your stop-loss so my answer to your question is NO based on your assumptions.

If you have a major inflow of capital, why do you need 50k to meet margin requirements... You must not have faith is your methodology if you believe that a person must risk their money first...otherwise you would let them trade your funds first...

NYSE only. I think there are more inefficiencies with the specialists system. I'm a tape reader, it's a heck or a lot easier to figure out what is going on with 1 specialist than 20 market makers and black box programs. Just my thought. rjv

I use either NX to get in or market. There are many reasons why you would use a mkt order. To list a few: 1. when you are trading more than a 1000 shs and there is a bid/offer to hit i nx 1000 and go mkt 1000 or 2000 shs. 2. mkt orders have priority over limit orders, this is huge. 3...
