    Options on commodities

Not held = your broker will try to fill you on a best efforts basis, i.e. bend over. Usually they ARE held unless the underlying market is in a fast market situation. Just stick to the more liquid contracts and you won't have a problem. Energy can be dicey, especially nat gas - make sure you...

mini contract 30 yr t- bond and 10 yr notes futures

Yeah they were gone as of early last year; from what I recall they were a nightmare to trade with markets 10 ticks wide sometimes even during regular hours on the front month. It's a shame since they provide a great way for smaller traders to leg into/out of positions ala mini beans or the...

Realtime FX feed with audible alarms

Can anyone recommend the best free (demo account or otherwise) FX platform that provides realtime feeds and can do audible alerts, i.e. to wake me up at night? Preferably one where I don't have to re-register a new demo account every 30 days or whatever, but that's not a big deal.

    NYMEX CL Trade busts

You could be right about non-trades, I didn't think about the fact these could just be erroneous reports to begin with, but I see this happen consistently every time stops are run at the intraday high or low. It's probably moot anyway - if I buy top tick on a stop, I'm sure the other side...

    NYMEX CL Trade busts

Pit CL routinely has trades busted at the high/low end of the range whenever an intraday high or low is taken out. Anyone know what standard procedure is for retail stop orders triggered by a print that is taken down?

    trading from jail

Sorry for your predicament, it's a shame the government doesn't value your budding entrepreneurial talent. Just remember when trading, when you have a gap open, you have to be very mindful of your position. Always set a tight stop to prevent a limit up move.

QM - Anyone provide non-native stops?

Bump Anyone aware of a broker allowing simulated stops on QM, or if Clearport will ever accomodate stops itself?

QM - Anyone provide non-native stops?

As others have said, Clearport QM doesn't have native stop/stop limit order support. Is anyone aware of a reputable futures broker that emulates stops on their server end for QM? I'm not interested in anything that emulates stops on the client end/my computer. Also - if anyone is trading...

e-miNY crude oil and gas futures changes

Bump. Is the Clearport transition actually going to happen this time?

    Anyone trading CL options recently?

Liquidity decreased after the $70 crude hoopla; if anyone has been trading these things recently, how wide have the markets been running for near month at the moneys (assuming normal volatility)? i.e. Fair value 140, market 130-150... seem normal, too wide? I'm just trying to get a read on...

    Quote.com Eminy Crude?

Anyone know how to get eminy crude on livecharts? All of the permutations of QM come up blank; I've only been able to find the pit contract (CL). Thanks

    Nymex eMiNYs

Thanks for the post - now the constant delays over the Clearport migration come into context, and have nothing to do with "technology" issues.

    NYMEX CL ATM/Front month markets

Anyone know how wide the floor is quoting ATM front month CL options lately (for small orders)? Can't seem to win with limit orders vs. these guys; they penny you all day and pick you off on a move. I don't mind paying 5-10 cents outside of fair value by going to the market, but I routinely...

    Estimated volume - NYMEX/CBOT

Does anyone know if there is any measure of intraday trading volume for pit traded contracts (crude, soybeans, etc...) available before the close?

    Baldwin Blows Out?

The recipe is starting to come together - we have Greenspan's (too early) irrational exuberance, high profile blowups, and Bill Gross extolling the virtues of bonds at these all time low yields. Time to hit bids?

    EmiNY energy switch to Clearport

That's because QMQ it still is on Globex; the switchover takes place the afternoon of July 19th as per NYMEX http://www.nymex.com/jsp/news/press_releas.jsp?id=pr20050603b

    EmiNY energy switch to Clearport

Small error in my post, the switchover I believe takes place next month, not this one; don't want to scare anyone. The exact date is somewhere on the NYMEX website.

    options on crude oil ?

Bwahaha, if you mean trade them electronic order book style ala emini options the answer is no; most any futures broker though will let you trade CL options through the pit. If you do, only trade a high OI liquid strike; even then be prepared to pay a 10 cent vig to the floor - with limit...

    EmiNY energy switch to Clearport

Does anyone know of any brokers that have confirmed they will be setup for direct access to Clearport for the switchover later this month? I'm sure any member has "access" to Clearport but I'm only interested in those that have their back end automated. Impeccable timing for a EmiNY clusterf*...

    Volume patterns in futures

For those that integrate volume patterns into their futures/commodity systems, can anyone shed some light on the best ways to reduce "noise" associated with futures rollover, or suggest a readily accessible source of volume data in the spot equivalent for currencies and bonds? Stocks are easy...
