Looks as if there is one more (brainless) upswing in the making.

3 tickers / real account. Paper-trading accounts not counting in this case (papertrading accts give bad L2 data, L1 data is absolutely ok though). True, but you cannot have both: 1000 tickers and "really live" (assuming you mean: delivering every single tick) won't be possible with todays...

Not completely true. The limit is 100 symbols for one normal account. But: You can set up a paper trading account (for free) which gives you another 100 symbols. Then you can set up any number (say X) of sub-accounts which give you extra X * 100 symbols. Don't know if for any extra...

Right, this is normal behavior (same with IB). That's not a workaround but just how programs are expected to react. If you try to watch many symbols at the same time you will always miss some prices (otherwise the feed would be forced to lag at some point). With IB there is a way to help...

First: Thank you for bringing attention to that site. Didn't know about it. Second: Even their DDE interface description (also Java and FIX) says they deliver last price, volume. From that "time & sales" can be built. Where is a problem? In case you are worried about ticks coming late...

    Using fixed relations

Thank you for taking the time to truely read the posts. It was repeated several times that it was hypothetical, that AAPL and ORCL were used as placeholders. This was mainly to make the question not too complicated, to avoid contaminating it with other potentially distracting facts and to...

    Using fixed relations

Thank you for answering so far. Not sure whether I could make some points clear so far: - It's only the relation between 2 symbols that seems to be fixed, never know whether both will be going up or down. - It has to be an intraday strategy. Never know what the relation will look like at...

    Using fixed relations

How could the following relation be used with an options strategy? Whenever e.g. AAPL moves up or down 1% ORCL will move 2% in the same direction. In other words: The change in price of one symbol will always be twice the change of the other regardless of direction.

Think it's time for a major shakeout to the downside. First target 5377-5382 (depending on time of day when reached). Second target 5328-5333. Third 5230-5235.

    xasax, colocation

OpenTick did not care at all about their users. Since Xasax is operated by much the same people I would expect same behavior (no matter how much they make you pay).

should most analysis be discarded as it is "too much information"

Generally people clearly have to few information in my view. If they would have enough information they wouldn't make any mistakes. People are not stupid. If they had enough information they would act accordingly. The problem is just they do not know for which information to look and they...

Sorry, I cannot see levels as well as Asusilovic does. Also I am thinking more in trendlines (skewed, no fixed price). Anyway in the mid-term I would expect that somehow 5227 is hit again (major trendline there - if it is hit in the afternoon more like 5232-38).

Expect major pullback (up). Many people went short now. Only when they are shaken out (probably at end of week) the way southward will be free (well below 5000).

Yes, I know that feeling, quite hard to find and famous IB customer service. PHLX: XDE (Euro) XDB (Gbp) XDA (Aud) and so on. Can see quite good quotes on: www.optionmonster.com CME / Futures Options: Enter EUR (GBP, AUD...) into TWS, then select "Futures Options" from the pop-up...

    EUR/USD & GBP/USD & AUD/USD Forex Trading

Target reached (exit at 1.0762). Staying in with 1/2 of position size. (Please note where EUR/USD, GBP/USD, AUD/USD, EUR/JPY are now - whatever appeared there on 07-13 it was not what should be called resistance)

    EUR/USD & GBP/USD & AUD/USD Forex Trading

Don't see resistance for any of these. Though potential for quite a downward move in USD/CHF (which has already begun). Perhaps 1.075 and less.

Please Recommend a PC Configuration for Heavy Excel Calculations

Clearly the way is VB. I coded myself several quite complex Excel spreadsheets. It always ends up slow, unreadable, uncustomizable, unadaptable and sometimes even unstable. With VB you have many advantages: - Much more speed (it may feel incredible fast in the first place) -...
