First thanks for the post. These stocks are interesting to watch.
Carnage like this is rare. Trading this stock without a stop would have hurt. UUGH!! Just looking at this chart gives me a knot in my stomach. I am curious if the company has any long term rebound prospects. What is cheap...
I agree this type of stock could tumble massively at any point in time. This is why a call option is probably a better way to go. Pure Alpha, or whatever those option cats call it. With options you don't have to pony up $488.00 per share. After all its a tech stock; I am simply saying that the...
USO closed today at $54.70 off a strong oil rally up $1.91. Looking to get long here. I am not convinced that this is the bottom of the sell off. However a close over $55.00 would signal a long entry. I am long at $54.22. The stock did close over its 20 day exponential moving average which is...
Single stock futures or straight calls ( bull call spread) may be another way to play this stock short term. We all know this stock makes no sense on valuation, but what are you gonna do when it continually breaks new highs over and over again. Looks like a runaway gap on earnings. 5 day low...
I would be glad to post my trades as a fade. I would expect to be compensated though if you make money. I think many people both fade and trade along with, don't make me say it, Cramer .The master of half truths. Does he still have a desk at Goldman or a little red phone like in Batman? I...
Having a home is a privilege, so is having a drivers license or being healthy. There are some people who can't pay their mortgage because of earth shaking events. Mortgage brokers, some, but certainly not all, are the used car salesman of the business; they are pushing their products on the...
The worst part was knowing JNPR was next to get crushed and not having the funds to go short. Not that easy to short out of a retail account. mmmm, wonder why? Here is the chart which shows CMGI collapsing as we enter 2000. Then JNPR hangs on till
October, 2000, bottoms at $9.70. Oh well...
Thanks for bringing up CMGI. One of my worst trades, at the time I was thinking, it keeps getting cheaper what a deal!! Man, do you have to remind me of 2001. That's like reminding me that I wore Bell Bottoms and thought Sean Cassidy was cool. OUCH!
Here is a 60 minute chart of esz06. First the spike up to 1398, then selling them down when you are sleeping. What I like is the blowout this morning down to 1370 (8:30 am). Classic stuff, the powers that be taking out the high and low stops. I am guessing at or above 1386 for today. 60 minute...
Agreed that CAT's miss and plunge was disturbing, because of the type of stock it is, and what it represents. That being said trend is up, spike was up too. All good traders are sceptical, but when the train leaves the station we want to be on it.
I think the question is what to do now? No one will ever know exactly why this spike occurred although fat finger theory makes sense, is this a warm up? Kinda like the talking heads saying why the market went up or down. I know one thing, SP at 1400 is no longer a mysterious, far away...
Merger with CME
http://www.cbot.com
The rich keep getting richer. There were some happy traders I'll bet. Nice bump. The question is do you hold BOT till the merger.
"CBOT stockholders will have the right to receive 0.3006 shares of CME Class A common stock per share of CBOT Class A...
You could probably buy here for a short term scalp, but that build was HUUUGGE!! 52 week low 52.46, low for today 52.63. maybe a rebound tomorrow for a point or more blood. OPEC wild card for tommorrow. I am looking for a rebound to $56.00 to become interested.
I read through the USO prospectus which is pretty long. A couple of nuggets here. First the fund like GLD will buy baskets of stock in 100,000 units. For each basket bought there will be a $1,000 fee. $9.00 per turn. Etc. The fees here seem reasonable. The prospectus says that the purpose of the...
I agree possible bottom here. Only time will tell. Here is a weekly chart of USO which shows bias to the short side. 50 day ema is $64.09, short term target. Weekly parabolic sar (stop and reverse) is $64.02. Bias still short until proven otherwise.
Only a few weeks till the election, plus...
I am sure a lot of traders got a chuckle out of your post. I know I did. Forget if you can about being rich. You are 24, cmon all I did was drink and chase girls when I was your age. Second and most importantly calling yourself a loser is silly. Never judge your self worth by material shit...
