Advice on how to make 5%/month on $1 million

You guys still didn't understand OP well. Of course 80% is doable, but read his restrictions: no more than 50 trades per month; no more than 2-3 hours trading per day, and low risk. Mission impossible.

Advice on how to make 5%/month on $1 million

You guys did not understand OP well. 1. What he ask is really a 80% annual profit. 1.05^12=1.795 Whether or not he withdraw every month it is no different because both need same level of skill. 2. He ask for every month 5%, not average 5% per month. So you can't have a bad month. Every month...

What would a good ETF/fund be to balance TQQQ?

You waste too much time to fight his stupidity but the whole point is he didn't know what we are doing but refused to read everything we posted, even I asked him to do so. Obviously he still thinks we have two instruments in portfolio and use one to offset risk of the other. But that's is not...

What would a good ETF/fund be to balance TQQQ?

That is why I change my mind and suggest to hold 80% in TQQQ and 20% in GLD. So if there is no 90% drop, we still can make 80 times. 70% drop doesn't imply a bear market drop, while our goal is to protect porfolio from bear market.

What would a good ETF/fund be to balance TQQQ?

I think a better alternative is to put 80% in TQQQ and 20% in GLD. So the number looks like this: If you hold all TQQQ from the inception, and there is no 90% drop, you make like 100 times.(the number may not be accurate.) If you hold 80% TQQQ, 20% GLD from the inception, and there is no 90%...

What would a good ETF/fund be to balance TQQQ?

If you want to hold VXX for long term you need to learn a word: contango. If you hold VXX more than 5 years you lose like 90% of its value due to contango.

What would a good ETF/fund be to balance TQQQ?

Did you read my other posts? I guess you only read one of my posts. That is why you think TQQQ is not a good long term investment. Plain and simple.

What would a good ETF/fund be to balance TQQQ?

Yes,50%TQQQ/50%GLD is what I am looking for. If there is no 90% drop, TQQQ will make more. If there is a 90% drop, the Gold injection will make more.

What would a good ETF/fund be to balance TQQQ?

"What do you mean? You mean when TQQQ drops 90% from its highs? That's when you sell your GLD and go all into TQQQ?" Yes, that is what I meant. But it looks to me TQQQ never drop 90% since its inception. The 90% number is for a bear market like 2008.

What would a good ETF/fund be to balance TQQQ?

I don't think there is a better alternative for GLD. For my setup, the bigger the drawdown, the more money you make in long term.

What would a good ETF/fund be to balance TQQQ?

It is not only a drawdown thing. If a serious bear market happens TQQQ could significantly underperform QQQ in the long run. That 's why you need to hold some fund to prevent this event from impacting your portfolio. https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/tqqq-vs-qqq-22-years-simulation.356593/

What would a good ETF/fund be to balance TQQQ?

GLD beat TLT with a huge margin. Since GLD started from 2004, it rised from $41 to 176 today. While TLT rised from $87 to $137 for the same period. More importantly, GLD rised from $41 to $110 at 2008 bear market while TLT rised from $87 to $120. Also, gold goes up in long term, no matter it is...

The biggest factor that blocks Forex Traders from profit is undercapitalization

You guys all got it wrong. You misunderstood undercapitalization for high leverage. If you trade ES with $1000, this is undercapitalization.Because you need at least $5000 for 1 contract or it will become gambling. If you trade ES with $100000,but you trade 100 contracts, this is too high...

Why should the past have the slightest predictive power for the future?

Forex predictive power is not slightest but huge. If you are strong in pattern recognition, you don't need too long time before you develop huge edge. I mean, compared with equity futures trading, which need much more sophisticated strategy. People who trade equity or equity futures for 20 years...
