@.sigma if they can't fill inside the spread they have to take the price at the ask. In most liquid futures contract they're typically won't be a gap between the bid and the ask but there's still a spread... that's just the way two sided markets work. For example the ES moves in .25...

You're right. I just looked the CL contract up on trading view and on there the contract moves in unison with the chart provided for the simulator but in the right hand corner of the chart (on the trading view website) there's an exclamation point and if you click on it it says the data is 10...
