    BS trading today

I for one agree with you, there are opportunities everywhere. But, I will hazard a guess that the people complaining, probably don't have the capital to trade this market, and that you do. In that regard you are lucky to be in such a position. This market is not one for those on thin ice...

ES between 3 and 3:15 pm CST on 2/4/03

Yeah I remember that one too..was home that day waiting for cable or something. Never around for those! I remember a kid in the office lost 24K in Chase in 5min, on a 25K account..he was never the same. BTW I agree with your last sentence. Good trading

ES between 3 and 3:15 pm CST on 2/4/03

Usually in response to surprise intraday rate cuts. Check out 1/03/01, and 4/18/01. I remember these well since I was long both times, and bailed for lunch each time. But they don't happen much anymore.

I am hearing that was stop running, and the 948 print is real. Ouch! Source: LOS.Net

    Any Cheap Squawk Box?

It was Wed afternoon to Fri AM...I listen more to the pitch and tone of the crowd, sometimes to confirm my idea, when the SP traded around 868, Wed PM the pit got loud, and I could sense that people were going to start selling (It was R1 on Wed), so I sold some SPY, and yes the announcer was...

    Any Cheap Squawk Box?

LOS.Net This squawk rocks! For the lousy 99, per month I find every month this is paid for in spades, by just one trade each month that nets 2K! Why just the other day, I netted 32 Spoo points from Wed to Fri open! (Would have been 64 but Comcast went down!) This site rocks! Much...

What Will You Do When You Go Bust?

Trading is boring work...and should be treated as such. There is no pat answer..you either make it ir you don't! As far as I can see, you always have to be on the lookout for a fail-safe: ex. you never know how much of your equity you will have to blow thru: In 2001 had 40K worth of...

    Fear of loss of profit

This is your problem...you are trading a casino chip that has no rational price movement...move on to "easier" situations! QLCG is not logical!...It's a performance chip! (For Funds); AVOID! The fact is that, this is a crowded stock that will keep you nervous. Move on. Try EK 35+...

    What is going on ?

Coupled with the realization that the first two weeks of buyers are underwater already, and the January barometer is pointing to a 4th straight down year, despite the fact of all the reasons given for "another" better year. Yada Yada Yawn! Hell I hope we hurtle towards oblivion, and get this...

AMAT Upgrade: et al NVLS etc....

480 was where the bubble started in late 1994; just trying to draw a parallel; nothing more..though I do think we see it b4 it's all over. Look, no one expected @ NIKKEI 8K when it was 40K! Just an observation.............??? Let's discuss?

AMAT Upgrade: et al NVLS etc....

This is the reason the US Equity Markets are STILL in deep s**t. Sad to say until the infatuation with 83x EPS stocks is STILL in vogue, bodes poorly for the state of our equity markets. This is truly disturbing...that stocks like this are STILL in demand. (I know BETA..schemta)..Until...

    Short-term bottom revisited?

Bright side? Hell, even KRAFT warned today. And they sell FOOD!! MER has layed off 22,500 people, and is planning on more still. They even said 2003 was likely to be terrible. I dunno either, but maybe it can be worse? Guess we'll find out soon enuff.

    Don's Openings, Part 6 2003

I know that! (I work at Bright!), was just busting on you..it's just that good news these days is rare..and fading it as Cash said in his post is a bit dangerous. Especially when the stock is oversold. Check out ABC from Friday..Open 55.10 was 56.25 in 5minutes, despite a 13 point decline in...
