What is your primary daytrading chart time frame?

I use 20 min charts for s/r, and a smaller time frame for entry.

    81 MIN chart

The ES and NQ are open for 405 minutes for the day session. I divide that number by 3 and get 135 min. I do have a 135 minute NQ chart going at all times, and occasionally look at the 135 min ES. There are five 81 minute bars per session, not 6.

    Better Paper: WSJ or IBD?

I don't like either, but the IBD is much better in my opinion.

    crashing?

Attached is a chart I sent out to some of my guys last night. We broke through 2 levels of support on the daily QQQ today. Please remember that the NQ, QQQ, ES, YM, OEX, etc. will almost always follow each other. Further, highs/lows of the day or of various swings that occur intra-day will...

If you had to name one quality to succeed in trading, what would it be?

Assuming you have a winning system or style of trading, I think the most important thing is PATIENCE. When I first began, I loved being in a trade at all times. A "heavy" trading day for me might be 7 or 8 trades in the minis.

    Major problem with esignal

Please keep us informed on what you discover. However, I do not think it is a tick volume thing that you were referring to, at least not on my quotes page for Ensign.

    Major problem with esignal

I think it is only for the CME products, but someone can correct me if I am wrong. The CBOT products like the bonds do not have this problem. On e-Signals quote page, volume is never updated for the NQ and ES. I use Ensign with e-signal's data, and the same shows up there too for obvious...

    Russell 2000

Well it looks to me that for the most part the swings start and stop at the same time as the ES, YM, etc.

    Russell 2000

Any e-mini Russell 2000 traders here? It appears volume has really picked up the last 12 months. The swings on a dollar for dollar basis appear to be much greater than the ES and NQ.

    Nearing an intermediate top?

I only look at long term OEX charts to try to see where the market is going as I am not an options trader, and with my type of analysis, the OEX works well. As an example, keep in mind that if one index is making a critical high, the others will be too. In fact, during almost every trading day...

Hey Seth...I don't know..other than I have trouble refreshing my charts on the weekend when e-Signal's servers are inactive...doesn't make too much sense, but that is all I can figure.
