Just so you are aware def, at least this customer couldnt reconnect for a good 20 minutes. If a customer wants to trade a large account with IB.....does he need an equally large account with another broker simply as a "lifeboat"???

All in all it stinks, but IB requires you to have another back-up broker........and they're almost never down, by comparison to any other broker. So have a back up broker .........and all is well. :D [/B] they "REQUIRE" you? what does that mean? It is in the fine print? or their lack...

anybody remember those guys who shorted more shares than the total float? LTV stock. They made 22mill and the exchange tried to bust them but lost in court.

IB seems to be like the old Jaguars.....if you use them make sure you have another vehicle to offset!

thanks....I think Bright offers futures...stock only firms seem to be the dinosaur. Wonder how many pure stock traders are left? Is there an E-mini "bubble" forming?
