    Help - Data Visualization Software

Yes, I started from scratch and quit after creating my first heatmap. i also ordered the book on ggplot. This looks good... will try out soon. BTW I also find most R users annoying about how they code 'great looking' stuff which has no practical use in...

$1200 a year is way too much for what goes in to design such app. So far I've seen Trade Ideas with one of the best data processing algos.

    Help - Data Visualization Software

I tried R but it was frustrating. A simple heatmap which takes few clicks in Excel can take full weekend in R. Most of the stuff I (and most non-quant) traders need is overwhelmingly simple. What takes 100 lines to backtest in Multicharts can take... well, lots of sweat.. in R (or matlab for...

    Binding indicators within a range

Thanks... I've seen this method used most commonly, and you confirmed its the best as well. I was tempted to follow selecting constants for normalization using exponential equation (the farther the indicator moves away from mean, the smaller the multiplier fraction)

    Binding indicators within a range

Hi Maestro! Great to hear from you. Well, I have a set of 4 custom indicators each of which is based on a premise to measure 'trend strength' or rather where the market is headed. Now I'm looking to standardize their scale and add up for a simple reference. Indic1 usually takes value...

    Binding indicators within a range

How do I bind an indicator so that it always moves within -100 and 100? Is there a standard method, or does it depends on that indicator's actual range? thanks!

Hi, I was thinking to buy Tableau Pro it but isn't cheap. How many similar software are there so that I can play with 100s of chart types?? Also, could anybody suggest which software might have been used to prepare the table below. thanks!

    Canslim Trading

Carry one with your analysis... I'm researching on same and may be able to help you. BTW if they think the word 'canslim' is copyright, how about using the better word 'relative strength' (RS)?? You may like to go through Marting Pring's work on RS. Cheers!

    Canslim Trading

You're on right track. The CANSLIM is far better than any of the futures trading BS spread around on internet. (even though this thread sounds like little advertising :D)
