    Stony's Saturday Reader*

thats a done deal stoney. SIRF is company specific however, with the holidays over and the consumer retrenching,GRMN may not be a scheap as they look. in my opinion, the space to invest/trade is the agricultural plays: AGU-MOS-POT-CG-TRA-TNH. these are holding up well but drop fast and furiously...

EMKR looks like it could be the new momo player into the 20's if it breaks to a new high. the problem with these types is they tend to disappoint when reporting earnings.

    U.S. in RECESSION ---READ

my humble opinion is that we are on a cliff and about to fall. we have a mortagage crisis, not a problem but an actual crisis. large banks are experiencing billions in losses and there is still no end in sight. individuals most prized asset(their home) is losing value on a daily basis...

stimulus bill passed and futures down

first off,i am only talking about one trading day. i realize history has shown that stimulous plans don't work but i would think with the market so oversold and congress passing it,the futures would have been up . i see now that the market reversed to the up anyway for the time being. also,i...

wonder if today has a late day crash

with the fed already lowering rates, the market has nothing to look forward to with regards to a rescue in the near term. i have a feeling we close down hard today.

wonder if today has a late day crash

wonder if the market goes into a vicious tailspin near the close. i know you guys hate these prediction topics but just killin some time. i actually think we close down over 300 points today and have the market tell us that the recent rally was a bear rally and nothing more.

lowest ISM number since oct 2001

either way, this was avery bad report. bear markets are notorious for coming up with a surprsiningly strong number every now and then which always proves to be a very short lives.thats what i think the manufacturing number was despite the weak dollar helping out.i continue to believe...

    Consistancy is for Looosers

i think the best traders grab the "low hanging fruit". a few times per month you can make a biiger swing on certain equities but by and large, the small gains are the way to go for most. remember, the market wants traders to change their profitable systems of scalping and hold onto positions...

lowest ISM number since oct 2001

thats why i started the post. if you look at the ISM manufacturing number that came out the other day,ypu would have assumed everything was just fine. whats funny is that although manufacturing was the focus,it was non manufacturing that everyone thought was somewhat safe and man did that...
